"I was a little miffed about this movie, too. My friend Josh is like it is good, but he has a werid taste in movies. I really glad I did go see it. I had a super fun time and I really want Scott Pilgrim's little red hat."

Sometimes the Hype is Right

I never got into comic books. I don't even remember to read Dilbert on a regular basis but being a gaming nerd I was told I needed to see Scott Pilgrim vs. The World. I sloughed it off as being a "psh whatever" Well I had a free Sunday for a change and wanted to see a movie and decided to give it a shot. There are a lot of movies I regret not seeing in theater and I am thankful that I went to the theater for this.Just because it was me and I was in my own world, I was late to the movie after…See More

How tall are you and is it genetic?

I am 6'5" and the "midget" of my immediate family. My dad's side has tall men (all but one or two of the cousins are 6'ish) My mom's sisters are half tall and half short. The only thing is grandma on her side is 4'9". So for me we are freakishly tall but it is not far outside standard deviations : )(@ my little brother's wedding. L->R me, little bro, dad, mom (in heels), middle bro) and a 7' ceiling... not good for dancing like an idiot :DOh one final thought, the rule of thumb in our family…See More

Initial Forays

I had considered myself a decently well read person, but as I look through the various books being suggested here I realize that I am afraid to step outside the walls I have erected with my comfortable, safe books. I had read science fiction and fantasy for many years, shunning modern fiction until one of my grandmothers bought me Rising Sun by Michael Crichton (she also did not know it was a little risque for a 12 year old).
