Can't say that I ever had Chicago pizza. New York style pizza is popular around here and I like Greek pizza too. Is Chicago pizza your favorite?
No traveling over break for us. Dinner will be at my folks house. My mom always does the Thanksgiving dinner and I make Christmas dinner. I just bought a pumpkin pie yesterday. I like it, but usually one piece is enough. After awhile it gets hard to swallow. I know that sounds weird, but it seems to be the case. :)
What are your plans for Chicago besides pizza and the parade? Isn't that the place where the "Big Bean" is located that John (Green) likes so much?

I'm understanding what you mean about energy requirements for a puppy. This guy is just a bundle of energy. He is a West Highland Terrier (looks just like John's Willy, here on Nerdfighters) and right now he is just alittle under four months old. He is good at night though, but he does tend to wear one out during the day.
I've never been to a really huge parade like Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, which is I guess the king of parades. There is a pretty large one in Virginia that happens every year but I haven't been in a while. They also have a circus and a carnival that goes along with it. Loads of bands from all over come to march in it. I loved it when I was a kid.
I guess the holidays are just around the corner. Are you traveling over Thanksgiving break? Or is the big dinner at home? Are you a roast turkey fan? Pumpkin pie?

Sorry I've been awhile getting back to you. I got a new puppy and he has been taking up a good deal of time. Not to mention lack of sleep. Do you have pets?
A homecoming parade sounds interesting.......what is that like....any floats? We have an AppleButter Festival here with a hometown parade, floats, fire trucks, horses etc. The Thanksgiving Day Parade in Chicago sounds like a big deal. Are you excited?
Some of my English classes in college were nothing but writing. Compare and contrast......I got really sick of that phrase. Do you enjoy writing? Poetry?

Band seems to be a big obligation in a kid's life. I think my son has something band related every week, but no night practices thankfully. Do you do all the football games as well? They are doing some soccer games here as well. What parades are you in this year?
Global Affairs does sound like it would be interesting. Can your classmates debate well? The teacher is real important when it comes to keeping things on track. What kind of homework do you have to do for this course?
We went to the Outer Banks, N.C. for a beach vacation. We have been going there for many years now, so it is very familiar and relaxing there. Do you vacation every year?
Of course, Mountaineer football starts real soon, so we will be headed to Morgantown for the holiday weekend. Then sometime (in November, I think) we are going to see the Blue Man Group. That should be interesting........

I know lots of folks who like the water parks better, me included. I'm one of those people who don't like coasters, real Un-American I suppose. I've never heard of Wisconsin Dells....perhaps I should look it up on the internet!?
Sorry it's taken me so long to get back to you. We wanted to squeeze in one more vacation before school started and things have been really hectic around here. School started today and the first soccer game is in two hours. Football is just around the corner.
Has school started for you? Any hard classes this year? How about band? Did you have a band camp this summer? It was sooo hot here this summer. How about where you are?

I'm an only child, so no brothers or sisters to miss me. The college I went to was an hour away so I just traveled back and forth staying with friends and stuff when I needed to stay overnight for bad weather or night classes. Don't let worrying about your senior year interfer with your junior year.....have as much fun as you can, enjoy it. The band stuff sounds awesome. My best friend has family in Ohio and she goes to Cedar Point every year. I am closer to Williamsburg (Busch Gardens) and Kings Dominion. Also Hershey Park. Have you been to any of those? How about Sea World, Disney?

Never been to Canada or any other country, at least not yet. I have some friends that have been to the falls and they say it was quite beautiful. Why was your band at the falls? We had our yearly trip to the beach this summer and are planning a short trip to the Carolinas before school starts this fall. Are you ready for school to start?
