What Kind of Nerdfighter Are You?
Band Nerd
About Me:
I love music of pretty much every kind (and for those who think rap is music, it isn't included). I have my iPod plugged into my ears just about 24/7, because music is awesome! Yeah. My iPod is pretty much a part of me. I love movies, reading, and my favorite show is M*A*S*H. I love the theme song, "Suicide is Painless!" The acoustic version is such a beautiful song, and the rock version is amazing! My favorite M*A*S*H character is Radar, and I love when he says everything as Henry is saying it.
I'm pretty much obsessed with Jane Austen. I've read Pride and Prejudice, Sense and Sensibility, and Emma. I've seen the movies of Pride and Prejudice (with Keira Knightly) and Sense and Sensibility and I liked both, even though they weren't completely accurate.
Favorite Books, Movies, Music, and more
Emma, Pride and Prejudice, Sense and Sensibility, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Inkheart, The Joy Luck Club, Eragon, Cold Mountain, Life of Pi, Exile's Honor
What's your favorite thing to put on your head?
Hair straightener, beanie
If you could do your happy dance with anyone who would it be with?
Aragorn, Faramir, or Mr. Darcy
When did you start watching the Vlogbrothers?
September

My Nerdfighters Box

Awesome! I have my own Nerdfighter Box!

Anyway, at the moment, I'm reading Cold Mountain by Charles Frazier for pleasure (sort of; I have to take a test on it by the end of the trimester) and Homer's The Odyssey for school.

I just finished reading Emma by Jane Austen. I loved it, but it wasn't my favorite by her. I also read Pride and Prejudice and Sense and Sensibility and I can't decide which one I like better. All Austen's books are great, and I couldn't possibly have a favorite.

I would be reading Persuasion (another Austen book) right now, but I had to force myself to read something else. Her writing was getting predicable for me, and I knew I'd enjoy it better if I took a break for a little while. So that's why I'm reading Cold Mountain.

I'm having a little trouble getting into it, mostly because for Christmas, my mom gave me the complete works of Jane Austen. The book weighs like 50 pounds (no I have not weighed it). It has a beautiful cover and it even smells good. Yes. I smelled it. I couldn't help it! The fumes wafted up to my nose as I hugged it!

Wow. This is a lot of writing. That's another thing I tend to do: ramble and rant. So anyway, yeah I'm addicted to Jane Austen and I'm forcing myself to stop reading her novels.

The hottest guy ever:

Yeah I guess I'm a fangirl for Mr. Darcy. I loved him so much by the time I had finish reading Pride and Prejudice, and I couldn't help but love even more after seeing the movie. The new one that is. I haven't seen the one will Colin Firth in it yet, but I plan to as soon as I can convince my mom to let me. I mean really. The movie is five hours long.

I'm totally obsessed with Dr. Who right now. I just finished watching the first season and I can't wait to watch the next one!
What Be Your Nerd Type?
Your Result: Social Nerd

You're interested in things such as politics, psychology, child care, and peace. I wouldn't go so far as to call you a hippie, but some of you may be tree-huggers. You're the type of people who are interested in bettering the world. You're possible the least nerdy of them all; unless you participate in other activies that paled your nerdiness compared to your involvement in social activities. Whatever the case, we could still use more of you around. ^_^

Music is Made of Awesome

My one and only true love is music. I can't help it. It's like a drug for me, no joke. I'm almost constantly listening to my iPod, and I think the only reason I'm writing this right now is because it died and I have to do something related to music while I'm at school waiting for the WASL testing period to be over (its two hours, and that seems a lot longer without entertainment).

At the moment I'm obsessed with a band called the Barenaked Ladies. Yes, their name sounds crass (well… Continue

The Odyssey Rant

I've been reading The Odyssey for English class. I've finished reading book 11, and I know that the Greeks of 3000 years ago had completely different values of the typical American living these days, but seriously, WHY IS ODYSSEUS SO STUPID!??!?!?!?!?

Ok....first of all, he goes into the cyclopes's cave univited, steals his cheese, and thinks about stealing his sheep, and when the big guy comes home, he's like, "What are you guys doing in my home? Get out!" And Odysseus thinks he…
