I think you're fine with your content; not like you're posting pictures of porn and brutally maimed people or every other word a swear (not that I, personally, would care if there were swears). I enjoy your writing style; I don't know if you do i...

I had the same situation just a few nights ago (though, I didn't tell them I wanted to be a transvestite...); I told them that I can't tell them anything about my life without them either taking charge of decisions I've made, such as with college,...

danman: In general, you just seem pretentious and rash. "A big fat FAIL for you from an engineering student and math geek." - this seems needlessly offensive, and seems to be a bit of showboating. "But do not worry that much, as most of the fail ...

Personally, I don't think it's a bad thing that we're addicted to the internet; if we didn't have internet, what would we be doing? Probably living a dull life of a day job, possibly more social interactions with friends and family, but ultimately...

Well, here's the way I look at it. I'm agnostic because I can't possibly comprehend nearly anything about the universe, such as how big the universe is, where the "edge" of the universe is, how the universe began, what quarks are made of, or why a...

The whole idea of death scares me about as much as it appears to scare you too, but by the sound of it, either we have differing reasons or you didn't describe what really scares you about death.

I definitely agree and dislike that Christmas is mainly about consumerism. Actually, I was thinking about this today while at work; people were commenting on the fact that Christmas music is playing as early as the day after Thanksgiving. I starte...

Marissa: I'm a senior in high school and am in AP Calc. Complex numbers do serve a purpose; when you're solving for the 0's of an equation, complex numbers show up for equations that have changes in direction but don't cross the X-axis. For exampl...

I'm pretty sure John elaborated on that phrase before, but looking through the videos that are returned from searching "sparksflyup," I think he did it on a live recording because I don't see any videos (so far) that pertain to answering that.

No one mentions that the lemons are often in disguise, either. I'd say you should clean up the mess made by the rotten lemons before it gets worse and then move on and look for more fruit.

Some ideas I can come up with: Be available to talk with them, save some money to give them small luxuries, and see about raising money to help them buy new houses.

I think the problem worth noting isn't with the age gap, but instead with the poor judgment of love, which occurs at all ages. Society seems to think that young people have poor judgment, hence why a few years difference in age in younger years "m...

As far as I know, John doesn't do nearly anything on the Ning, so I doubt you'll get an answer from him. As for me, I don't read the bible, so I don't know the context well enough to give a good opinion.

Hahaha, that's awesome. I guess something else would be to call someone a third derivative, but that wouldn't be a substitute for a swear unless someone's strict enough to believe "jerk" is a swear.

Research Paper: Social Survey

Preface:

I am planning on writing some research papers (unrelated to school), and to do so, I will need to do some research! So, I plead and beg you to fill out my survey and pass it on to as many people as you can. Once I get all my data, I will read over the results, make observations and conclusions, and make a final research paper which I will publish online for all participants (and others) to see. This will be the first of a few research papers I plan on doing.

Exercise (Final)

Yesterday, my control day, I ate food as long as the servings were easily measurable, so I ate things like poptarts, milk, and fudgepops, and between yesterday and today, I lost 3.4 pounds, so obviously I have no idea what I'm doing. *runs around flailing his arms in the air making goofy noises* I guess I'll keep studying this, but I'll try to be more regular about it instead of extremist and getting random results.

Up for discussion: this, and bacteria everyone has that regulate how many calor… Continue

Exercise, or lack thereof (Day 4)

Today, school canceled due to fog, so I couldn't measure how much energy I use on my regular routine, so weight changes between yesterday and tomorrow are all negligible.

Tomorrow, I will try to record my routine kilocalorie use instead of playing DDR again. I'm going to assume DDR was the best choice between all the different exercises and start organizing a *normal* exercise/diet routine for me to try for a week.

At the moment, I'm not sure if I want to write my hypothesis/conclusion for tom… Continue

Exercise (Day 3)

Today, I tried another exercise machine (it wasn't an elliptical, but it was like one). I used it for about 20 minutes and had to stop; it was boring and uncomfortable. Instead of doing anything productive, I decided to eat some chili before my family ate the rest of it, so tomorrow's weight change will be negligable.

My weight went down from 193.6 pounds yesterday to 192.4 pounds today, a decrease of 1.2 pounds! Monday, I played DDR; I played for 1.5 hours, burning 1,500 kilocalories, and then… Continue

Exercise (Day 2) and How To Build Muscle While Watching Youtube Videos!

I know I never stated a purpose for this exercise week, and that's because I didn't really have one to start with. So, here's my purpose: To learn more about weight loss so I can pass advice onto others. I'll make my hypothesis and conclusion on Saturday, when I've completed the week and have all the measurements.

Today, I didn't cheat (I had a small poweraid slush from Sonic instead of a cup of 1% milk), but I tried a different exercise machine (a treadmill at 2 MPH) so I could finish reading… Continue

Thanks for the comment, I don't know what it is, but you could be right. Strangely enough my DVD drive does not have the hole for some strange reason, I have checked before. Strange.

Thanks for the tip! That sort of spam shows up every once in a while. They're not particularly harmful, but annoying nonetheless.
