The literary-artistic-photographing-guitar-playing-Hufflepuff-and-proud-sci-fi-loving kind.
About Me:
I love writing, reading, and photographing with a passion equivalent to the strength of 7 million puppy sized elephants. I don't go anywhere without my journal, a writing utensil, and some sort of picture-taking-device. I am addicted to tumblr and flickr. My favorite video game is a tie between Portal and Portal 2. I want to be a journalist one day and use my articles to help teach the world and reduce the amount of worldsuck. My favorite punctuation marks are em-dashes and semi-colons, and few things annoy me more than ignorance and bad grammar.
I also am proud to be a Hufflepuff.

Favorite Books, Movies, Music, and more
"Indie" music makes me happy, despite the ambiguity and ridiculousness of the genre's name. I'm also a fan of certain hard rock bands, intelligent rap, and the majority of artists from the 60's. My favorite bands include The Beatles, The Mountain Goats (yes, I loved them pre-vlogbrothers), Bob Dylan, Noah and the Whale, The Decemberists, and Death Cab for Cutie.
My favorite novels include, but are not limited to: Little Women by Louisa May Alcott Siddhartha by Hermann Hesse, Steppenwolf by Hermann Hesse, and The Great Gatsby (if you don't know who that's written by then just leave now).
I adore watching movies, from the 50's Film Noir to current Sundance Film Festival winners. However, I cannot stand and truly detest 99% of all Romantic Comedies.
What's your favorite thing to put on your head?
Hats. I know it sounds unoriginal. However: I. LOVE. HATS.
If you could do your happy dance with anyone who would it be with?
Henry David Thoreau, Walt Whitman, or Gandhi (I have a thing for transcendentalist writers and pacifists)

I'm new here, and I just wanted to say "Hello!" 
So... Hello!

I love vlogbrothers and Nerdfighers with all my heart, and I'm just plain old excited to have found a community with so much awesome. Frankly, you all are the bee's knees and I want to start blogging my last stretch of high school/beginning of college, and I thought this would be a good place to start!
