"It would be capable of loading any webpage without any internet access, and it comes with instant feeds to all Nerdfighter realted things"

There's an app for that? Really?

So, I recently (as in, you know, 6 weeks ago) invested in a shiny new iPod touch. After having time to fiddle with it and figuring out ho to get it to do what I want it to, I started browsing through apps. And then my brain had a really great idea. It said, "Hmm...what if there was a nerdfighter app?" What if? What would such a one include? Could such a one be dreamt up, potentially created, and theoretically, even be distributed? And so, Nerdfighteria, I ask you this, what does this app look…See More

Profile Information

What Kind of Nerdfighter Are You?
Bilingual(ish), word-nerd, history loving, band kid (but really in colorguard)
About Me:
I think that the kind of Nerdfighter I am really tells you everything. I read Jane Austen Novels for fun. I read things in French instead of English because I can, I love the English language, and I think that if Alexander Hamilton weren't dead, he'd be my Prince Charming. Not nerdy at all.
Favorite Books, Movies, Music, and more
Dream Factory (Barkley/Hepler)
501 French Verbs
Ella Enchanted (Levine)
The Mediator Series (Cabot)
A Guide to Classical Furniture (Linley, and no, that's no joke)
Pride and Prejudice (Austen)
An Abundance of Katherines (Green)
This Lullaby (Dessen)
Sailing Alone Around the Room (Collins)

*Typed as they came to me. I'm missing a lot, so please forgive me.
What's your favorite thing to put on your head?
Right now, my cliched beret. More often though, it's the purple-duct-taped marching band hat with the old-school white plume.
If you could do your happy dance with anyone who would it be with?
The Brothers Green, Alexander Hamilton, and Meg Cabot, in that order
When did you start watching the Vlogbrothers?

Catholicism makes me feel funny

And I think I owe this to my Catholic schooled mother and the guard. You hang out with that many gay guys and then say they don't have the same rights as anybody else. But I digress. The entire time I was at my small cousin's first communion on Saturday, all I could hear in my heard was the voice of Eddie Izzard.

"Blasphe-me! Blasphe-you! Blasphe-everybody in the room!"

It finally got so loud that when we were reciting confirmations of faith (which I faked my way through,… Continue

Lights out, Earth!

Last night, at exactly 8:00 pm, I was sitting in front of a table full of candles and a large book, telling my friend to turn off the lights. We sat across from each other at a circular table, each reading our respective books as the smell of cinnamon and evergreens enveloped us. No, we weren't performing some kind of ritual, we were observing Earth Hour!

In an effort to help reduce our carbon footprint and be as awesome as Sydney… Continue

The most crucial thing I lack is a thing called tact

So, I'm sitting here. Waiting. And freaking out. Why, you ask? Well, you see, I did this really silly thing. I entered the contest to be part of Scarlett's Eleven ( Why? Because something crazy posessed me. At any rate, I applied. In, like, the worst way possible. I sent her an email that looked like the Constitution, listing all of my enumerated powers. And I rambled. And I'm not entirely sure that any of it really made any sort of sense at all. But I tried.

I… Continue

To speak or not to speak

Woah. I just got the scariest looking manila envelope in my mailbox today. The outside wasn't so scary, but inside? Inside was the MHS Graduation Guide. Just looking at it made me squirm. I knew it had to be read, so I summed up all of my courage and flipped to the first page. I read. And read. And then read some more. It was all boring and, for the most part, useless, until I discovered page 4.

Graduation speeches. I knew the meeting was coming up, but it's within the next two weeks. And… Continue

Bilingual Word Nerdiness!

I aid for seventh period French everyday. While most seniors are grabbing their bags and revving up their cars after sixth thanks to early dismissal, I stick around and help out because I love French, I love my French teacher, and I secretly hope that I can get French 2 a little more jazzed up about French. Unfortunately, there has been very little jazzing so far.

Anyway, the other aid and I keep a notebook about our lives as aids in French. So when I got done with my work today and… Continue

Haha yes.
It started with my friends forcing me to watch the movie, and forcing me to choose it when we had a choice to in english class.

And now I am addicted to it :D

Wow what was your show about? I love Elizabeth I. It would be amazing if we did a show and she was in it.
What's your high school called? Do you have a show online?
There's one of ours on my page.

Our guard wore shakos last year, too!
Your love for Alexander Hamilton makes me smile, a lot. As does your bilingualish-ism, I'm the same but with Spanish.
And be glad you don't have to wear full time shakos- they're a complete pain. Especially if it's hot out and you have long hair.
