- I didn't so much become a Nerdfighter as discover that I had always been one. I'm a 20-year-old proud Bio geek and a Robert Frost fangirl; I'm also an atheist Jew who sings gospel choir. I spend my time reading more than is healthy, wishing I were British, and listening to hip-hop and Chameleon Circuit. Someday I'm going to fix the world.

My Visit to Occupy Boston
I didn't have anything particularly important to do over this long weekend, so I decided head out to Dewey Square and see what Occupy Boston actually was, what it looked like, who was there, and what it was all about.

Kiva, Part 1
I just signed on to Kiva and joined the Nerdfighter team, and gave my first $75 loan!
My first few minutes on the site were absolutely overwhelming -- the sheer volume of need, the amount of deserving and disadvantaged people, terrified me -- so I let the site pick out my first loan for me. I ended up giving to a group of working women in Paraguay, who still needed some $1500 on their loan.
I went to bed worrying about how long it would take them to get that $1500...and woke up…
