Boyfriend + Pokemon = Best afternoon ever (p.s. with a bonus Musicals section)

Yeah, so, I'm in an extremely good mood, and have been ever since yesterday when my dear darling awesome Pokemon-nerd boyfriend Alex was finally able to come over. :DWe're both generally really busy, so finding time to hang out has been a struggle. We've been dating for three weeks, and have only hung out a few times - it's a little bit annoying, but hey. You take what you get, and in this case, it's worth it. He's really great, really funny and nerdy in a cute way (and he has a six-pack...…See More

Masochism

I don't know why, but I've insisted on listening to Aerosmith for the past few minutes, which is never a good idea. Generally, of course, listening to a band whose music one enjoys is a good thing, but the associations are much too painful in this case. Why I insisted on listening to our songs is a mystery to me. I wasn't even feeling nostalgic... at least, any more nostalgic than I have been lately. My sole long-term relationship lasted a year and four months, but to someone in high school that…See More

Favorite Vlogbrother Quotes:

"Does the awesomeness of a body depend on its nerd content?"
"You have to separate them with the wicker basket so they don't get mad at each other."

Hank:
"You know what? I think we should all be at Wal-Mark, putting stuff on our heads. We need to take a cue from the four-year-olds of the world. PUTTING THINGS ON YOUR HEAD IS FUN. FUN IS GOOD FOR YOU!"

What Kind of Nerdfighter Are You?
Music = Life :] also, books and theatre. Shakespeare is a genius, and 'thou are sick in the world's regard, wretched and low, a mindless outlaw sneaking home.' Henry V
About Me:
Hi :)
My name is Liz and I am a nerdfighter. n_n
I like reading. A lot. I'm also very into music, somewhat into visual art and theatre... you know, all the artsy things. xD When I grow up, I want to be a music teacher... a tattoo artist... a writer... all three, if that's possible. :]
Also, I talk too much xD Forgive me this long "About Me" section, and for the even longer interest section coming up.
Favorite Books, Movies, Music, and more
Harry Potter, Star Wars, most anything cartoon that has emerged from Disney. Especially Finding Nemo (my mom is a classic Dory)
Stephen King, Dean Koontz, Micheal Crighton... some excellent stuff there. One of my life goals is to read everything Stephen King has ever written.
OH and one must not forget the awesometastic John Green <3
As for music: previously mentioned. Music = love. Vivaldi's Spring is AMAZING. I also like playing piano music by Stephen Chatman and the mysterious Mike Schoenmehl. As for modern-type music: GOOD metal (that is, clever lyrics, more-than-decent vocals and technically epic instrumentals) and indie/punk rock - type stuff that goes outside the box (ooh, is that an oxymoron?). Also, Nickel Creek is an excellent band. Newgrass. Check it.
What's your favorite thing to put on your head?
Headphones while I listen to music//my gecko, Felix (who is a girl)
If you could do your happy dance with anyone who would it be with?
Mulan, because she's the most badass person I've never met. Also potentially Charlie McDonnell, Tom Milsom, and Alex Day, because they are the youtube celebrities that I stalk n_n (just kidding...)

The Disappointment of Grape-Applesauce.

I just finished eating the only type of applesauce we had in the pantry because my friend informed me that Tuesday was applesauce day. Sounded good to me

Generally, I love grape-flavoured things. When I see that something has a little added touch of grape, my tastebuds do a happy dance. Unfortunately, this reaction was wasted on a deceptive mushy purple mess of sadness.

Okay, it wasn't that bad, but it…

On Interior Monologues and CommunityChannel invading my mind.

Tonight I watched a very, very, very extensive amount of CommunityChannel videos, since I recently became interested in her and therefore need to catch up on my video watching. But has anyone else noticed that when you watch a lot of videos by someone with an accent, your thoughts tend to develop that same accent?

I noticed this about thirty seconds ago as I was walking up the stairs to go to bed, thinking something about being an irresponsible…

Neil Gaiman really is brilliant. He's blown me away with everything of his that I've written so far. I haven't been brave enough to attempt his Sandman graphic novels though. And I'm leaving a couple of his other books for a special treat :) Something to look forward to.  I used to read Stephen King a lot when I was younger but nothing in ages.  There are still a few of his books that sound really intriguing but I'm in the middle of a YA phase at the moment and I'm waiting until it ends before diving into some of favourite adult writers' other books :)
