The kind that reads at least one book a week, rocks out on a guitar AND a violin and pwns the stage
About Me:
Okay. About me. I really don't like these things, and I always end up saying I'll do it later, but I will give it a shot.
Okay. I am Alyssa, also known as Lysky, I have an older half brother and live with my dad. I'm raised by guys. So yeah... I'm not your average girl. By which I mean, shopping pretty much sucks, unless I'm buying like... books, or candy, which are both good things, or some musical instrument. Because I have many. I have two guitars. I named them. I've got an alvereze [did I completely murder that or what?] acoustic/ electric named Jeffro, and a grey parker cleverly named Parker. I know right? I was on a roll with that one. I've only been playing since Christmas of 08 sooo I'm not that good. I mean, I'm better than some, but that's cause I practice nearly an hour a day. I also play violin. For eight years running. Not to beep my own horn or anything... but... beep beep. I also play keyboard and I've fiddled with a drum kit, and failed. Lysky can not hit drums. She can however type in third person. Onward bound. I read. A lot. As we're talking my dad's having a conversation about my nerd-i-ness. I bet you think I'm kidding. But he's calling me a nerd to his girlfriend cause I made him take me to the library and I went on a rant about how good books are. I like them. I don't know how that happened considering how much he hates them. Whatever. They are magical and I believe people miss out if they're not willing to pick up a book. And now that I bring them up I shall continue to the next box.
Favorite Books, Movies, Music, and more
Okay, first in my heart will always be What happened to Lani Garver by Carol Plum-ucci. I could go on forever about this book. I read it through and as soon as I'm done I want to read it again because it's like I'm without a friend. I recomend this book to anyone. Seriously. Anyone. It's fabulous. All of her books are, but this one is dear to me.
Next, Looking for Alaska. I'm on a nerdfighter website, of course I love John Green's books! I found this one while hiding in the school library. Did you know you can chill out by the self help section and no one will ever find you? It's handy. Anyways. Awesome book. It's number two of my favs. An Abundance of Katherines is also really freakin sweet. The man knows my head sometimes I swear.
Onward!
I just got done reading this book recently called Absolute Brightness written by James Lecesne. It is currently making circles among my group of friends. I'm hoping to get that back before they graduate. But I digress. I could not put it down for the life of me. Not my favorite ending, but entertaining.
The Uglies Pretties series by Scott Westerfeld. These were a little out there for me, but entertaining. I wish I had found them a few years ago, I probably would have liked them more. Still, they're a good read. But don't pick one up unless your intending to read the whole series. You will want to know what's happen. Their endings are such cliff hangers.
Harry Potter. I don't know how it got this far down the list without bringing up Mr. Potter. I do in fact love those books. And the movies, books are better. I plan on re-reading that series one day...
Pretty Things by Sara Manning. Beautiful. I've re-read that book a few times now. I love how she makes you think one thing about a character and then rips you away and makes you think another. Awesome.
Let us not forget Maureen Johnson. I have only read The Bermudez Triangle thus far. I always plan on reading more, buuuut it's all my library has. However, she's a fabulous writer. I can so put myself in that book. Seriously, it's like she kidnapped my journal and made it into a story... if I had a journal that is...
What's your favorite thing to put on your head?
music
If you could do your happy dance with anyone who would it be with?
Josh Ramsey. Or John and Hank Green. It's a three way tie.
When did you start watching the Vlogbrothers?
April

okay will do! right now there's about four, so I'm just gonna leave it up for the rest of the day and see if anyone else wants to get in on it. Then once we have everyone confirmed maybe we can all decide on a name and pick days and such.
