Katelyn Robinette said… Sure. Mine is lynee121@gmail.com. ^_^
Katelyn Robinette said… Well to be honest, I kind of prefer snail mail. xD Something about waiting for letters and thoughtfully writing them out in cursive just makes communicating more exciting to me.
Katelyn Robinette said… Sure, that would be awesome ^3^.
Katelyn Robinette said… Bad. >.> I'm better at folding towel swans. V.V
Katelyn Robinette said… Lol I've actually folded towels before. And I think that was the book, but I honestly dont remember too much about it, other than it was sad and made me wish humans could just get along, and that the girl dies. ;_;
Katelyn Robinette said… Hmm... I think I first started folding paper cranes freshman year, but the idea came to me after reading this book about Hiroshima and WWII. I use rice paper primarily because it creases better, but have been known to sometimes improvise with anything from important forms to gum wrappers.
Katelyn Robinette said… Yeah I first read Keterah and Lord Death when I was a library aide way back in eighth grade. I was re-shelving books, saw the cover and thought it looked good. Then I read it and... whoa. The symbolism of the hart, the personification of death, the stigma which becomes attached to Keterah even as she's trying to save the townspeople's lives... I thought it was beautiful. I actually cried for Lord Death when Keterah was finishing the story. Sure she leaves to become his Lady, but he'd been alone for so long that he was afraid to love, just like Keterah was initially afraid to die. Suffice to say that I loved the book's poignant reminder of how alike love and death are.
Katelyn Robinette said… Hi Lyzi I saw your post on the Nerdfighter Pen Pals group and thought you seemed awesome. Then I looked at your page and realized you were even more awesome, because you've read Keterah and Lord Death, which is an awesome book. :D Please message me if you're interested.
