i sing to the high heavens, drink copious cups of tea, frequent that beautiful place that is the northern quarter (manchester), read, walk to places, sit around with friends doing some of the afore mentioned things, or just talking and listening until all our ears and jaws hurt.

..classical; satie, debussy, pachelbel, barber, armstrong etc.

..new age; brian eno, jerry martin, salvatore gebbia (check him out, he is amazing and needs way more listeners!!!)

..female jazz/soul-y stuff; erykah badu, amy winehouse, ella fitzgerald, sarah vaughan

..other jazzy stuff; miles davis, john coltrane and thelonious monk

..alternative (this is going to be rather large, as im not quite sure what you can class as alternative anyhow); bon iver, devendra banhart, spoon, smashing pumpkins, joanna newsom, phosphorescent, xiu xiu, volcano choir, the kills, the dead weather, the album leaf, benoit pioulard, boards of canada, rachael yamagata, damien rice, death cab for cutie,placebo, sigur ros, radiohead, pogo, nick drake,jose gonzales, antlers, michael halaas, frou frou, city and colour, sharon jones and the dap kings, hypnotic brass ensemble, low, eluvium, incubus, led zep....

..my favourite singer is imogen heap but im also really into regina spektor and i like lisa hannigan

..and then il admit i like some pop/rock type whatchymagigs of my younger years...red hot chilis and blink 182 being the main contenders

..i was always a big fan of foo fighters, but im less fond of the newer stuff. my fave songs are come back, walking after you, hey johnny park, floaty, good grief, everlong, monkey wrench, generator and breakout

..i like some rap...serengeti, flobots, mickey avalon
