Jess L said… I managed to have a wonderful new years! How are things over in Sweden? You have lots of snow there?
Jess L said… Hey just wanted to wish you a happy new year! Hope you celebrated it well!
Jess L said… I mean I guess one benefit of it being two weeks of horrible-ness is that I can just focus on working over the holidays. Well that's good that you got tickets eventually! I remember when I was in England for the Harry Potter 7 part 2 movie premiere I didn't even try to get tickets for opening night, since they were pretty much all sold out. I know that my friends are getting up the morning of and waiting to get tickets.
To be honest I haven't really checked out the Literature Crash Course but I do love when John talks about literature and it's awesome that he's just getting it so that people are talking books and stuff ^_^ I really love the history ones, too!
I'm working on 4 projects at the moment: A Children's Literature Paper (20pgs), Immersion/Creative Writing (12pgs w/portfolio), an essay on Emile Zola & Poe (8pgs), and an Economics/Politics paper (8pgs). Needless to say I've got a lot of writing to do over the weekend...
Jess L said… Oh noes! Does that mean you'll be getting tickets? And I mean depending on how early he would have to go, that's understandable since I'm not a very good morning person myself. Still for the Hobbit I think I'd make an exception XD Studying during the holidays sounds not so fun :/ I'm trying to get through papers (since I don't have exams, just projects) right now without any holidays on and it's pretty terrible.
Jess L said… My goodness, that is certainly a long time to be in school! But I'm like 98% sure he's Kahn. On IMDB it's still cast as rumored, but like I don't know who else they'd put him as. And I KNOW! Aw man, it's going to be so good. Can't wait to see it in May ^_^ Yeah, I'm definitely glad I have Sci-Fi friends outside of my roomies. I have yet to buy tickets for the Hobbit, but we get it 2 days earlier than you on the 14th! XD
Jess L said… Well does that mean that you start the school year later? Cause if I had one semester from August to January I don't think I could handle that...and I think it's been somewhat confirmed that Cumberbatch is Kahn? Be sure to check out the new trailer! IT'S SO GOOD AHHH. My roommates just do not handle Sci-Fi/Nerdfighter things at all. It's kinda hilarious/mildly depressing.
Jess L said… That's okay, I'm now finding myself attempting to tackle the massive amounts of essay writing I have to do for the next few weeks; the semester is almost over! And yay Star Trek! Have you seen the new poster for Into Darkness? It's fantastic ^_^ My roommates don't get Sci-Fi, them trying to watch Star Trek was certainly an adventure.
Jess L said… Well a Nobel Prize is a pretty good indication of excellent writing, if I say so myself. Thankfully at my University I've managed to find a group of people that like nerdy things (Doctor Who, Firefly, etc.) But still, it doesn't mean that there aren't more people around!
Jess L said… Career choices can be tiresome, but I feel like I figured out what I want to do pretty early on in my college career. it's just after college that is the great unknown O.o I will certainly have to check out those poets/filmaker (if they have any english works available of course!)
Yeah, networking is just tiresome. All the idle chatter. For me it's really like, if someone's super important I can get nervous and become really introverted...or wish I had someone to talk about nerdy things with, which usually corporate executives don't ahaha.
