About Me:

My name is Manar. I'm in high school. I'm a fairly religious Muslim girl. I procrastinate a lot, and I love to read. Looking for Alaska is my absolute favorite book, and it is what led me to nerdfighter-dom.
I've watched vlogbrothers since January 2007, but I've mostly been a lurker until maybe a month ago (which, at this time, would be February 2009).
Nonetheless, despite a lack of participation until recent times, being a nerdfighter has pretty much changed my life. =) Being constantly surrounded by awesome makes everything awesome.

OH HAI.

Okay, I know that I disappeared...and in the middle of BEDA.
I'm sorry, especially to my BEDA buddies. But, well, I had a sudden surge of schoolwork and other things and the first day of April that I missed I had a legitimate excuse (my computer wasn't working), but then I didn't post the next day, and then I was busy, and then I had been gone so long that I felt embarassed about coming back, and blah blah blah, things snowballed into me disappearing.

NERD COMPETITIONS FTW.

I had such an amazing weekend. It pays to be a nerd. It really, really does.

Okay, so...let me start from the beginning, because I don't know if I've ever explained this properly. If I have, then you get the luxury of feeling smug about your superior knowledge about my life. If I haven't, then now you will know! It's a win-win situation.

Sleepy

EDIT: When I wrote this blog, I didn't expect myself to stay up until three in the morning Thursday night/Friday morning, therefore rendering myself perfectly capable of blogging on Friday.

The Tranquil Mind

I suppose that it's technically Friday morning now. It's like 2:30 a.m.

I'm not really sure why I'm still awake right now. I'm tired.
I could be sleeping, studying, or doing homework.
But instead I'm just lying awake. And I don't know why.

I just feel still, I guess. Eerily still. Like...if-I-fall-asleep-the-world-might-disappear-around-me still.
I just feel as if I need to stay awake and stare at the too-dark-to-see ceiling instead of closing my eyes and floating away.
