- About Me:
- I'm a computer science student at Clemson University. Still a freshman, I spend most of my time playing guitar and writing songs (and doing schoolwork...right?). I really like messing with new instruments, ie. the ukulele, melodica, and piano, as well as new patterns, progressions, styles. As much as I enjoy computers, working with them, and as much as I can much easier see a future within the field, my passion still lies in the art of music, of its openness and truthful nature.

- I'm a pretty big James Thurber fan. Douglas Adams is probably tied for first. I haven't read Last Chance to See yet but it is next on my list. Harry Potter cannot be left out of any media fav (music, movies, and books as well as the drawings/paintings that come off it). I've read quite a bit of Agnosticism and Christianity as well. Wikipedia is up there too ;).
As for music, even if I knew the best place to begin, I'd have no idea where to legitimately end. Hank's new album (of course). Brad Sucks. Most of Wichita Records. Chameleon Circuit. Julia Nunes. I recently noticed several of my friends attending an event on facebook called "Tell Her She's Beautiful". My Change of Scenery (no...change of universe)
I'm contemplating a changing my major. Knowing I won't be able to enjoy even taking computer science courses for the next 3.5 years, I want to get out of the program. Not only that, I fear hating something but doing it just because it pays for the things I do enjoy. Lead Away, kind Fate

Written for another
So I wrote this song for someone's birthday who for someone who for some reason can seem to bring her lips in an upward curl. She lets everything get to her. I wasn't entirely sure how I wanted to convey my message to her but this is what I came up with. After all, something is better than nothing. I sung the first and third stanzas at a long, drawn out opera-esque style with the others at a much more upbeat tune.
