RONFR: Favorite Book Review #3: A Series of Unfortunate Events, by Lemony Snicket

Hi there! Remember me?

So, my reading of favorite books has continued. (I'm currently on book 10.) And I've also been keeping up with the book reviews . . . on YouTube, that is. The written blogs? Not so much.

I apologize to those of you who've been following me on here. I will be posting reviews for books 4-8 over the next few days. In the meantime, here's book 3. (Incidentally, when I say "book" I sometimes mean "series." If a series is all one story, like this one, then… Continue

Random Obsessions Nerdfighter Roulette: Favorite Book Review #1: The Book Thief, by Markus Zusak

I haven't been making much use of this blog lately. I've mostly been vlogging on YouTube. (I'm bandgeek8408 and vlogdriver for those who aren't aware. Shameless plug, I know. But back to the blog.) But I've decided to use this blog for one of my book reading projects.

I'm attempting, in the year 2009, to reread books that I have placed on my ambiguous "favorites" list. Some of them, like the subject of this review, have been placed there recently, but others have been on there for… Continue

Random Obsessions Nerdfighter Roulette: Harry Potter! (Books vs. Movies)

So, I wrote a song. A song about Harry Potter. (My sister got me started on wizard rock . . . lyrics just kind of occured to me.) I actually wrote a couple songs about Harry Potter, but the one in question is called "Steve Kloves Sucks," and it is currently on my Youtube channel if you'd like to see it. (I may post it here too . . . haven't decided yet.) Basically, the song is a rant about how aspects of the movies do not reflect the intended spirit of the book, and how Steve Kloves needs to… Continue

They're really pretty good! I don't like the Nursery Crime books as much (kind of a sequel/spinoff series by the same guy) but they're still not bad.

I work in a bookstore at the moment so I'm always digging up something new to read. That video you did in the Book Loft makes me wish I would have visited when I was in Columbus for a wedding!

You found me! Good job.

I really don't use the nerdfighter's ning too often, which is probably apparent by my lack of content, but I'm thinking of getting into it more. Maybe I'll write a few blogs, and post more comments.
I'm sure it'll be good fun.
