The Fundamental Problem of not being Natalie Portman

The Fundamental Problem of not being Natalie Portman

I’m writing this bog post at 7:09 on a Thursday morning because I frankly think it’s the only way I’ll get to sleep, and I’m not even sure if I will afterwards, which kind of sucks. I didn’t sleep much last night, I didn’t cry, as much of the day lead me to believe, I just stared at a wall and tried to be placid.

But the moment I woke up, the first thought in my head, was “I am not Natalie…

That is so great to hear!! Congrats!! It is a little sad that we're so late in the season...but you have the right attitude; NEXT Summer you'll be riding like crazy! =)

I'm seriously excited for you to get that CBR. I can't wait to hear all your stories and such; hopefully we're still in touch in another year! =/ And if you make it over to this side of the state maybe I'll actually have my bike on the road and we can cruise around! That would seriously be fun =)

Again, congratulations *high five*! XD

YESSSS!! That's the way it SHOULD be, my friend *high five* =D

One of the worst aspects of working at a shop is that you get to watch everyone take the bikes you've been lusting over away from you. They get to go out riding on these gorgeous days and I have to sit here INSIDE =P

I'm really glad to hear you enjoyed it so much *nodding*. Keep me updated *high five*!

Yeah, driving a standard involves a few more brain functions but once you get used to it you honestly won't even think about it any more. And you're right; having a manual puts you in to much more contact with the vehicle and, for me (and you, it seems), that is a pretty enjoyable experience *nodding*. There's not too many readily available rushes like being able to click down a couple of gears on a bike, twist the throttle, and launch past the traffic around you X)

And definitely let me know how the class was and junk, please *high five* : )

Lol! I can definitely understand THAT, my friend *nodding*. Considering I work at a motorcycle shop, and I'm looking at the CBR which is not more than 15 feet from this spot, I'm fairly familiar with them ; )

I'm actually pretty excited for you to get one now! Just be patient....breathe....*deep breath*....harness your chi...you'll get one =)

And I named the 'quest Kohei after a character in one of my absolute favorite anime, Moonphase ; )

First, I have to say I LOVE your initialism in your profile! Dugongs are ridiculously kawaii!! AHH!! I want one.....badly.

Thanks for complimenting the old rusty sweet-machine that is my beloved car! It's a 1989 Chrysler Conquest. And yes, you just went, "Uhh....it's a WHAT??". It's a fairly rare vehicle these days...and I don't think I've seen anothe one on the road in a few years. Mine is set up for Autocross racing complete with a roll-cage and racing harnesses! The engine is a 2.6L inline 4-cyl which is obviously a HUGE four cylinder...and the best part is it's turbocharged X) I'm currently running a turbo that's a couple of sizes larger than stock; it's conservatively putting about 250 horsepower to the rear wheels.....OH YEAH =D

Corvettes are fantastic project cars! You'll have to put some pics up some time ; )

I LOVE bikes. I've owned a bunch at this point...and I'm currently trying to get another...lol. I actually work at a motorcycle shop as a Title Clerk so I'm around them six days a week! If you ever have any questions at all please let me know. I'm not a huge Ducati fan (we're a Japanese bike dealer) but their standard bikes (like the Monster line) are excellent. I don't like their sportbikes at all as I feel they're way overpriced for the performance they provide. You can get a Japanese equivalent that cost much less and actually peform better, IMO *shrug*.

And thank YOU for accepting my request ; )
