"One thing I forgot.
I love sitting in cafes or train stations or pastery shops, looking at the faces of strangers and guessing their life stories. Sometimes they're hillarious, sometimes just gossipy mean, sometimes wonderfully sad, but always…"
"Hi, I'm Mia. I don't exactly remember how I even stumbled upon the very first Vlogbrothers video I saw.
I guess it's been such an intense experience in such a short time that I just forgot.
What makes me a nerd…"
"Good job! The colors really complement each other nicely. Us drawing and painting people should also think about puting our works printed on T shirts and wearing them around town (wherever we live or go travelling). Maybe someone will notice and…"
"This is a really longquote by a Croatian writer Zoran Pongrasic from a book called The Hi-Fi Chair, and it goes so well with this particular vieo of yours that I just had to translate it for you.
Please read it, I think you'll love it, maybe…"
"Thank you. That's about the only thing I'm good at while drawing. Texture, that is to say shading. Lots and LOTS of shading.
I'd suck at line drawing. Especially if it were for a comic book. U have to be so precise, I suppose."
"Ender's Game is truly one of those most relevant things about life out there. I'll never forget how one night, late at night, my dad and I were reading the first third out loud for about three hours. Now we'll never get to finish it…"
The reading kind, really it's unhealthy how much I read. And I keep a little notebook around with titles of books I've read or should read in the future. There's very little room left(mostly because it's alphabetic and I left too many pages for writers with lastnames beginning with Q, Z etc.) Also, not unlike John, the athletic kind.
The only thing that truly fulfills me (even though it's not my profession) is drawing, especially that moment when you're finally done with the picture and you get to wipe all the smudges and come up with an awesome title and maybe even frame it. I love making fan art and illustrations for books (especially the kind that have never been illustrated). I'm pretty good, though quite slow (I wanna do it right). Favourite scene to be illustrated sometime in the future: Ending of "Franny and Zooey", Franny holding the phone to her ear, listening to nothing, then lying on the bed happy.
