Alcoholic drug addict. Clean and sober since April 8, 1981. Married 3 times - I'm living proof that you can't pick a decent life-mate when you're drunk and loaded all the time! This third time is the definitely the charm: Sue Barrett is the best thing that ever happened to me, and straight on till morning!

Libertarian? Rational Anarchist? I'm an old hippie from the 60's. Nordic Model Socialist probably fits best for me today. Our political system seems just too broke to fix. Burn it down? Probably not, but it definitely needs a major overhaul to function properly in today's world. Constitutional Convention anyone? UP THE REVOLUTION!

Favorite Books, Movies, Music, and more

I started reading JRRT in 65 and I think I have most of his published works. Been doing SF since I was 8 or 9 (1956-57) Bob Heinlein, Art Clark, Issac Asimov, Poul Anderson, Edgar Pangborn, Larry Niven, Cj Cherryh and a host of other. More recent faves include China Miéville, William Gibson, Gary Gibson, Joe Haldeman, etc. I have thousands of paperbacks and eBooks.

If you could do your happy dance with anyone who would it be with?

My birth Father, but since he died 6 weeks before I was born I will have to wait a bit longer for that reunion. 30 missions in a B17 without a scratch, then killed on the hiway in New Mexico. Go figure.
