- What Kind of Nerdfighter Are You?
- I'm probably the only nerdfighter from Egypt, I'm Asian though, weird enough.
- About Me:
- Well, I don't really know how to start, ummmm...
I guess I'll start with my dreams, I want to be a quantum physicist, as a kid, I've always read a lot about lots of stuff (just like any proud nerd). I've always loved physics and I'm particularly fascinated with quantum mechanics, so there you go.
I also want to be a writer, I usually write short stories and poems in Arabic, God knows how much I love this language, it's my native tongue, even though it's not supposed to be, see, my parents are Asian (which explains my looks), but I was born and raised here in Egypt.
I'd like to write novels in a very specific genre, young-adult novels, just like John Green! :D Because most teenagers here are soooooo shallow and closed-minded, and they have a major negative effect on our society, so that's why I'd take the responsibility of "enlighting" them. And who knows? may be in a few years, we would have a full society of Egyptian nerdfighters fighting to increase awesomness and decrease world suck! :D
I also want to form a successful band that plays a very specific genre as well, Oriental Progressive Symphonic Rock/Metal. I'm already a guitarist, and a very good one too, and I've always loved mixing classic Arabic/Oriental music with more modern forms of Western music.
My other interests include psychology, philosophy, astrology, astrophysics, mathematics, and many more. And like I said before, I like a lot of stuff because I've read a lot.
My top three fictional characters of all time are: Captain Jack Sparrow, Luna Lovegood, and Tyler Durden.
- Favorite Books, Movies, Music, and more
- Books: Harry Potter, The Hunger Games, young-adult novels, horror novels, sci-fi, modern Arabic literature, classical Arabic poetry, books by Dr Mustafa Mahmoud, books by Ahmed Khaled Tawfik, and basically anything a nerd would like to read.
Movies: That's a one heck of a long list, I really like movies like Inception, The Butterfly Effect, The Hunger Games, The frikkin' Avengers, and of course, Harry Potter.
Music: I enjoy many forms of music, from classical Egyptian folky-ish songs like Sayyed Darwish to North-European progressive metal like Opeth. Some bands that I just absolutely love are Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, Derek and the Dominoes, The Jimi Hendrix Experience, Pink Floyd, Opeth, Dream Theater, Tenacious D, Massar Egbari and Cairokee.
I absolutely HATE computer-generated music, it's just cruel what they are doing to music, they take the passion away from it.
