Currently deciding whether to teach a lifetime of high schoolers or go on to university level...going to get the PhD in English either way!

Also...obviously..I love the game Clue, and the movie Clue, and my favorite character is Miss Scarlet...with the candlestick...in the lounge. ;)

Favorite Books, Movies, Music, and more

The Harry Potter series, The Dead by James Joyce, and a slew of poems including "Stopping by the Woods on a Snowy Evening" by Robert Frost, and "Invictus" by William Ernest Henley.

Also, I love Severus Snape. I was his widow for Halloween. I made the dress. lol.

I love putting headphones in my ears..I'm addicted to music!!!

I LOVE HOCKEY ZOMG!!!

OK, so my local heroes, the Buffalo Sabres, have recently acquired the awesomest player ever, Steve Bernier. (I hope everyone likes my proper English so far). In his very first game with us, he scored the first two goals in the opening period! It was pretty sweet, and I was screaming, as I often do when watching Sabres hockey games.

On the down side, we lost an excellent player in Brian Campbell, who was traded to the San Jose Sharks. I feel slightly ridiculous, but I realized just how enamored… Continue

PhD???~!?!~!!!~~~~!!!!

SO....

It's always been my dream that I've wanted to get a PhD in English, because I want to teach English at the college level. Right now I'm getting a Master's degree in Literacy for grades 5-12, and I was thinking of going on to get my doctorate after I finish this program in December. I'm not teaching yet because I'm a slacker (read: scared to death of juggling full-time teaching and full-time Master's), but I'm hoping to have a job this fall to fulfill the practicum requirements for this d… Continue
