What Kind of Nerdfighter Are You?
Literature/Grammar/Doctor Who
About Me:
Hello! My name is Gina! I enjoy exclamation points! They are fun to use while exclaiming things!

I also enjoy periods. They make me sound boring.

Do I enjoy question marks? Do question marks make me seem indecisive and annoying?

Sometimes, when I want to have a sentence that never ends, I like to use commas because that way, people can breathe while they read my sentence. <---Not a comma. :(

I (meaning me, Gina) enjoy (or like, if you prefer) parenthesis because then I can add (or emphasize) thoughts, and thus make my sentences (or paragraphs) more interesting (on occasion).

Someone told me that I must add a bit about footnotes.*

*So I did.

Your Result: Literature Nerd

Does sitting by a nice cozy fire, with a cup of hot tea/chocolate, and a book you can read for hours even when your eyes grow red and dry and you look sort of scary sitting there with your insomniac appearance? Then you fit this category perfectly! You love the power of the written word and it's eloquence; and you may like to read/write poetry or novels. You contribute to the smart people of today's society, however you can probably be overly-critical of works. It's okay. I understand.

Ahhhh, I might have to watch it! My Dad has thousands of DVDs, no exaggeration, so I'll ask him if he has it ^^ And yeah, online class is alright, but it's weird trying to talk to someone when they aren't in front of you, you know? xD

I highly reccomend AGaTB! It's amazing, if you like some other books the same as me, you'll love it. I actually just finished listening to the audiobook of An Abundance of Katherines which I downloaded, cause it's not out in the UK yet. And I'm reading Looking for Alaska now - it's great so far :D John's a really good writer.
If I saw someone bringing in loads of books to college, I'd just hug them. Seriously. I think people who DON'T reasd are the crazy ones! :D

No I didn't have to research much for Nano except I spent hours on baby name websites picking out characters and once I had to learn about sword fighting techniques and terms. Other than that, there are plenty of mistakes due to not researching! In fact, I realised on the final five days of November that I hated the name of the male main character. But I still can't think of a better one! Any medieval-ish names for a charming but manly man?
I've been working quite a bit at the lettuce farm this week and last, packing lettuces all day long. I'm super annoyed that I can't join in on the P4A for all of tomorrow because I'm working. Are you going to be rating/commenting/making a video?
Might go and make some gingerbread men now!

Ahaa, it really is a good class, but it's a video conference type thing cause our teacher lives the other side of the country so we email her our work. There's only about 6 of us in the class so it's pretty intimate. I think I'm the most into it than anyone else, they're not big enough film nerds to appreciate it haha. We're meant to be studying War films and Ewan McGregor, so I'm hoping the films will be good (:
I'm meant to be having a Christmas sleepover with my best friend, so I'll be making her watch Nightmare :D It sucks you haven't seen it this year... and yeah, I'd say Edward Scissorhands is my favourite if only for the fact that I've seen it so many times, but I love a lot more movies almost as much. I haven't seen V for Vendetta, but I've heard of it, is it really that good?

Ahaha, it's too bad you don't get BBC, it'd be a lot easier to watch Skins and Dr Who I guess (: I do like Dr Who, but I don't really watch it that much. I watched it the most when Christopher Eccleston and Billie Piper were in it.
My favourite book? I couldn't possibly choose. It's probably somewhere around Harry Potter, The Hunger Games, and A Great and Terrible Beauty. I've yet to read John Green's books D:

Ahh that's a good idea, the RPSLS diagram... I might do that. >.>
I do Film Studies, and my teacher's brought up on several occasions my love for Edward Scissorhands, seeing as in about every paper where we get to choose a film to study, I always choose it. (That last sentance made sense in my head, I'm sorry if it reads badly XD)

Skins is incredible. I'd like to say that my life as an English teen is the same but it's really not. I choose books over drugs cause I'm cool. Don't you have it on the BBC? I'm sure I've seen commericals for it on the internet.

Yeah, this conversation's been running for about a year now!
That video is AWESOME. I have so much respect for marching band people now- that's some serious multi-tasking going on. What instrument(s) do you play? (I think I've asked this before, sorry if I have).
YES! NaNoWriMo! Although the end-of-NaNo hype has sort of worn off now, which is lame because I'm yet to finish the novel and have no motivation whatsoever. I've read the Prologue so far, but I'm too scared to continue in case I freak out over how bad it is, and the amount of plotholes. Lots of editing to do...
It's kind of the typical adventure/fantasy story; small town orphan girl gets caught up in war/family relations with a tyrannical Queen, meets a dashing hero (LOL), and struggles to overcome all sorts of mystical and personal garbage. I suppose it's such a dry plot because I only decided to do it on the morning of Nov.1st, with no previous planning. But I learned a lot about my limits in writing it, plus my words per minute has risen dramatically! XD
Have you seen Where the Wild Things Are? I saw it yesterday. The boy actor was amazing, but unfortunately the movie was a colossal yawn, and was obviously catering to the indie crowd. Good luck with your papers and finals and all that jazz!

Aha, thank you :D And no need to apologise for the craziness. If I wasn't new and slightly unnerved, I'd be the same.

TBBT really is great. Me and my Dad try to play it on occassion but we always get confused :(
By the way you have great taste in... everything? Edward Scissorhands is my all time favourite movie.

Whoa the philosophy paper sounds really really confusing to me, but it kind of makes a lot of sense too. It sounds interesting as well! I think I’ll look up causal determinism so I might be able to get it. The moral and physical responsibilities make sense to me, but they kind of confuse me too. I don’t think I’d be able to explain things like that in an educated way at this age. But the 10 page paper does make waaay more sense!!! It kind of sounds like fun actually. O I’m writing a book right now. It’s an assignment though. Every year an eighth grader randomly chooses a second grade prayer partner, and we get to help them prepare for their First Reconciliation and First Communion, help them with school, participate in relationship building activities, and stuff like that. Anyways, we have this project to write a Christmas story that includes our prayer partner, and then we make it into a small book and give it to them. It’s so cute. I still have my book from second grade. So yeah… Haha, registering for classes doesn’t sound like fun though. Yay you have Friday off! How awesome.

Sixty? That’s a lot! Ya’ll are really good though. The banquet sounds like a lot of fun! Haha, yay Luke Skywalker guy! That’s so funny. So did you get an award? Our sports banquet is coming up, but it’s never any fun. All they do is provide food that isn’t really edible and announce all of the cheerleaders, football players, swim participants, and volleyball players in fifth through eighth grade for 3 hours. Oh yeah and then there’s a dance that only lasts an hour, but it’s never good anyway because only the people who did sports are allowed to go to that. I have to go because my brother who plays football and my sister who was a volleyball player/cheerleader want to go. Oh well. Yeah I only haven’t been to school with a sibling for 1 year. Haha. Plus my mom is the secretary (I don’t know if I already told you that) so I see her every day at school too. There’s no freedom for me!!!

Aww that’s so cute! We have so many ornaments that are from when we were little and some that were gifts… It ends up looking good. J Lol okay so it’s true that college students don‘t have money. Well, that makes sense too because ya‘ll are, like, you’re on your own now. Yeah, my friends and I do gift exchanges. It’s fun but we said that we have to make each other stuff, and we’re not allowed to buy stuff unless it contributes to what we‘re making. Oh yeah, and my mom wants me to make something for my boyfriend so that will probably end up being really embarrassing. Haha, that’s okay. Do you have a boyfriend?

One month later, and Holly has won NaNoWriMo!! Sorry for the massively late reply, it's due to NaNo sucking up the majority of my time for the past 30 days. But I'm so glad that I did it! Technically, I haven't finished, there's roughly a good five thousand words to go till the draft is finished, and then a year or so of editing, padding etc. Just this evening I read the first page of what I wrote (I don't like to read as I go because it's generally terrible and full of mistakes), but it was surprisingly cool to read the first page of my novel. It's so weird! Holy crap, I wrote a freaking novel!
I checked out some of the band videos in stadiums a while back, and there was one particular video where the band were crazily synchronised in their movements and marching. It's so awesome! Also, Glee just started in NZ and it's really awesome! I just saw the Single Ladies episode, and it was ace!
Also, I bought Doctor Who series 4 yesterday and fell in love with David Tennant all over again. Ooooh did you see the Waters of Mars? Such a haunting ending! What the hell was the Ood doing there?!?!
How have you been this past month? Any extreme(ly awesome) christmas plans? And has college finished for the year? Woah, it sounds like I'm interrogating you. I swear, I mean no harm! XD
