a very strange, internet loving, happiness making one (^^,)
Greetings mortals, now that you have entered this world of mine there is no turning back... naaaw, I'm only kidding :D
My name is Mary, and if I am a nerd for anything it's more on weirdness/ awesomeness. Not so much on the other things such as video gamerness and super intelligenceness. (^^,) hehheh
I love painting, coloring, being in musicals, reading, YOUTUBE, listening to music, watching movies, procrastinating, laughing, goofing around, and water polooo:)
I'm a really go-with-the-flow kind of person. Though I'll be in college soon, I have NO idea what I want to do or how I want to contribute to this world. I'm not good at one particular thing and I don't really have one central interest, so that doesn't really help! It's not too much of a concern for me though. God has his plans! I love listening and talking, so know that I'm not going to talk your ear off or make things really awkward and not say anything haha! Annnd yeah! I guess that's good enough haha:)

If you could do your happy dance with anyone who would it be with?
I just joined the forum and literally minutes after I join I find another seemingly hardcore Coldplay fan - you! I just searched for 'superhero' on the site and I found this post of yours. What a coincidence! Coldplay ruuuule!
Awwww, that's too bad! It would be awesome if you were going to the same school. His name is Gabe, and I dunno. It seems like we're just going to end up as friends, but I'm okay with that!
That's a really good idea! You'll feel a lot better knowing where everything is and knowing a couple of people. It's too bad that your teacher left, but you're right. There will always be insane people. My philosophy professor is crazy. I'm not sure if I've talked about him yet or not, but he likes to throw things. And the other day, we were talking about knowledge and how we know what we know, if we even know it in the first place, and he said, "how do you know there aren't bunnies watching you right now?" and everyone kind of laughed, then he went and turned off the lights. He'd painted bunnies on the wall in glow in the dark paint. He's awesome. Lol.
Sounds like you had a nice Christmas! That's awesome that you got snow! We almost always have snow here. Usually too much of it. Heh. I do want to be a teacher, so that should be fun. My brother doesn't mind much because we get along pretty well. I think he thought it was kind of cool that he knew me and he got to tell all of his friends who I was. Lol.
Sorry I took so long to reply! I've been kind of busy with school lately. College sucks up all of your time. But in a fun way. Heh.
Awww! Your boyfriend sounds awesome! It's good that you understand that it's probably not serious, although who knows! I agree that some people get way too worked up about their boyfriends and such. I've had a few, but I've always realized, "meh. There is no way we're going to end up together, but it's fun anyway!" The guy I kind of like is pretty awesome. I met him in my philosophy class because we were on the same debate team. We have a lot in common, but we think really differently. It's amusing because I've noticed that my friends and I all think the same way. Like, we're all creative-ish. He's really analytical, so he's always being all logical and such. He kind of destroyed me at chess a while ago. I should have seen that coming.
Awww, high school can be scary! Except my city only has one high school, so all of my friends and I got to stay together. My two best friends and I are actually going to the same college, so that's really awesome. I think you'll like high school a lot though. I was terrified to go to college, but I LOVE it. And I was terrified of middle school and high school too, but I ended up loving both of those as well. You can still keep your same friends, you'll just meet new ones too! It's fun! My school went to church every week. And we had a religion class either every day except for church days. So... yeah.
My Christmas was good! I went to my aunt's house, and I got lots of awesome stuff! What about you? What are you doing for New Years? I'm just going to my friend's house and we're going to hang out. It should be fun. Ooh, so I'm going to college for English education, and to get my degree, I need to have 350 hours of teaching, so I'm going to help my brother's English teacher while I'm on winter break (college breaks are a lot longer than high school). So that's going to be awesome. My brother said he's really nerdy and hilarious, so I think I'll get along with him. XD
I don't paint a whole lot. I went to a fine arts camp in the summer, though, and decided that I wanted a painting of Coldplay. I don't know what exactly struck me to do it, I just knew I wanted to. And thus the painting was born.
And thank you. ^w^
((Read this part second))
That sounds like a really cute book! Do you go to a religious school? I went to a Catholic grade school. It was different, because there were only 16 people in my entire class. It was great though. Everybody got along really, really well, and we're all still kind of friends. We had kindergarten buddies when we were in 5th grade. We had to show them how to act in church and when they were supposed to stand up, sit down, kneel, etc. It would have been okay, but my kindergarten buddy was really, really hyper, and he never listened to me. This summer, I actually ended up helping the teacher whose class he was in with summer school. We started talking about kindergarten buddies, and she asked who mine was. I said "Austin." And she was like "... ooooh..." And I'm like, "yeah..." Heh.
Heh. It was pretty fun. We got really good food, and it was all formal and such. I haven't eaten a formal dinner in a long time, so I was like, "AHHHH! TOO MANY FORKS!" It was a fun time. I'm sorry your banquets aren't much fun though!
That's a really good idea, making things instead of buying them. It's a lot more personal and meaningful, I think. My roommate is a graphic design major, so she draws these really amazing wolf pictures as presents. It's amazing! I don't have much time to make things either though. :/ I should actually be working on my English paper now, but obviously I'm not. I should probably start that. Heh. I don't have a boyfriend right now, but there's this guy that I kind of like. I'm not sure whether he likes me or not though. We hang out sometimes though, and we go to philosophy club together, so that's always really fun! What's your boyfriend like?
The philosophy paper is... well... philosophical, so it's kind of confusing by definition. Heh. I hope I do well on it. They're kind of difficult to write because everything I wrote about was my own ideas. Like, the idea of physical and mental guilt was something that I thought of. I don't know if anyone else has ever talked about anything like that. Heh. And yeah, it can be difficult to understand, but you'll be able to eventually! :)
Heh. I just wrote a 4 page philosophy paper today. It was about this court case where this guy with a really messed up childhood killed two people, and we had to decide whether he was morally responsible or not, and decide whether he was guilty or innocent. Basically, I said that he wasn't morally responsible because of causal determinism (which would take way too long to explain, sorry), but he should also be found guilty because even though he wasn't morally responsible, he was physically responsible, and with causal determinism, basically it was either put him in jail or run the risk of having him kill more people. I know my views sound kind of messed up, but they make more sense in the paper, seeing as I have four pages to explain myself instead of a paragraph. Lol. My 10 page paper is easier to explain. Heh. It's about how and when science fiction becomes reality. I really have to start working on that. It's due on Tuesday. Oooh! So I registered for my classes for next semester today! It was really frustrating because I was one of the last people to register, so I would figure out all of the classes that I needed to take, and then they would close throughout the week, so I'd need to find more... ugh. It was a nightmare. But I ended up with a pretty good schedule, and no classes on Friday!!! Very exciting.
I do feel awesome! Haha. I think there are 60 people in marching band. It's really fun. We had our banquet tonight, which was awesome. Everyone voted for these awards, and they were really awesome. There was this one called "The Best Luke Skywalker Lookalike Award." The same person wins it every year. He looks JUST like Luke Skywalker. It's kind of hilarious. I only went to school with my younger brother for one year. Haha. It was kind of annoying.
My brother and I made tons of ornaments when we were little! They're on our tree too. I'm not sure if I'm going to do a gift exchange with my friends. You know that idea that college students are broke? It's true. Haha. I don't really have any money for anything other than like, food. Gift exchanges are fun though.
