The feeling is mutual :) Yes, I can feel the insanity approaching. If my mental condition was a TV show, the audience would be biting their nails and saying, "TURN! AROUND! It's right behind you!!!" The suspense is just killing me. It will probably hit sometime this week - though I'm pretty much crazy already, so the change won't be too drastic, haha. Hope school's going as well as it can for you as well. Hoo Hah Nerdfighters!
Sounds great - definitely a more efficient system. Easier on the eyes with a word document, too.
No doubt, no doubt. I have my inhibitions about driving, but the concept of being able to go anywhere at any time is really appealing. College will be the day ;)
Hey, I'm having some trouble formatting the chapters of my story online, and I'm running out of space anyway - so I'm gonna go ahead and send you the actual document, if that's okay. Read at your leisure, naturally :)
I love Into the Woods, too...I'm a big Stephen Sondheim fan. I'm so excited to see his new musical Road Show this fall at the Public!
I'm also excited to see the new Jason Robert Brown musical 13...if you don't know JRB, you should check him out...three great musicals are Songs for a New World, The Last Five Years, and Parade.
Gypsy is a show with music by Jule Styne, lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, and a book by Arthur Laurents. It's about this woman with two kids who forces them into show business at a very early age. When the children are older, her star child runs off and has to be replaced by her extremely-shy sister. Finally, they get so desperate for money they have to alter their act into something much more risque.
People say that the mother, Madame Rose, was a monster, a woman who would make her kids do anything for a paycheck. Patti plays her much differently with a greater maternal quality instead. She portrays a woman who genuinely wants something good and steady for her children and, almost, wants is too badly.
The music is incredibly catchy and wonderful, and the cast is just SO talented. Check it out. It's amazing.
Yay! I love Twitter. It's addicting. I just keep refreshing and refreshing and updating and refreshing...
"Bon soir, monsieur et monsieur!
Je m'appelle Gypsy Rose Lee
And that concludes my entire performance in French,
I've been too busy learning Greek..."
ANYWAYS. Some of my favorite broadway musicals are Rent, Spring Awakening, Jesus Christ Superstar, Jekyll and Hyde (which we are doing in school this year! *squee), Phantom of the Opera, and A Little Night Music. What are some of you favorites?
Not only would I be the person who lines up in front of the record store in the dead of winter with just a little one-person tent, but I would line up days beforehand and then buy out every copy in the store ;) Mini golfing = pure bliss.
