"*guilt* Kidding. I'm sure you have readers, but if they want you to feel guilty for not posting, then they are sucky readers. Sounds like you have been busy enough without blogging. Glad to hear things seem to be stabilizing for the better,…"

Ummm...yeah...it's been a while

So I haven't written or done anything on this website in some time. I could waste time feeling guilty but that would require someone to make me feel bad. Since no one reads this and I don't actually know anyone on this website, then that is just plain stupid to say that I let anyone down. I wish I'd kept up my blog posts, sincerely because I know how helpful it was to release the stress onto a page (even an Internet one). So much has happened to me and my world since my last post I don't know…See More

Dylan Thomas "Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night" (1951)

Do not go gentle into that good night,
Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Though wise men at their end know dark is right,
Because their words had forked no lightning they
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright
Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight,
And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way,
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight
Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

And you, my father, there on the sad height,
Curse, bless me now with your fierce tears, I pray.
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

just sittin'

I feel horrible for not keeping in touch with so many nice people in the Ning. I've tried to send comments to many of them (you?) but like most things I do, I haven't the time to complete it.

The summer in California is just starting to clear up. The sky is pale cornflower blue, with little clouds. The breeze is terrific, especially when the temperature is above 85 degrees. I wish I could visit the beach more often, but with most of my best friends out of town or in college I don't… Continue

GRADUATION!!!!

I just graduated from my high school...OH MY FREAKING GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am so sad to leave my friends and teachers who have guided and cared for me...but I am so super excited to move on to bigger challenges.

My graduation was on June 4th at the Hollywood Bowl. It was beautiful and moving. My family and close friends were there to cheer me on, and for that I am so grateful. I was intimidated by the venue, but the night was perfect and I felt… Continue

Shakespeare sucks...ok, not really

Well, my Shakespeare competition was today. There were 10 other "contestants" and the monologues ranged from plays like Titus Andronicus to A Midsummer's Nights Dream. I gave a soliloquy playing Iago from Othello.

And I lost...

I'm not mad, but I would be lying if I said I wasn't entirely, completely, utterly, infallibly, cosmically, and eternally disappointed. I really thought (probably like every other girl in the competition) I would win. I had some… Continue

You lost your house ?! Don't you get some money back from fire insurance and disasterfunds ?
What are you going to study in college ?
History was my favorite course, and geography ( though i didn't like it anymore at the end. So stoped making notes and started drawing stead during the lessons, and then my teacher would ask me something ( cause he thought i wasn't paying attention) and then i gave him the answer. And he got really annoyed then ^^ at the end of the year i had an 89% on Geography and i never made any note o.O)
Best whishes

I want to move to New York City or Boston for college. Right now, I think NYC is winning but it varies. I've wanted to live in New York since my brother moved there (also for college) six years ago. Of course, as soon as it's time for me to go there, he moves to Boston and I realize the awesomeness of that city. Either way, I'm moving to a city. (I think that's because I live in a village. A small village.)

Hey, there. It's been awhile, hasn't it? So, funny story, true story, I got an e-mail saying you commented on my page and I kept it in my inbox so I would remember to reply, like, the next day. And then three months went by (unbeknownst to me, I swear! XD).

So to answer your questions: My summer went really well. I worked at a state park cleaning toilets but saved a lot of money for my trip to China. The rest of the time was spent reading and sitting in a circle (or car, movie theater, park bench, picnic table, etc.) doing nothing with my friends. That's more fun than it sounds.

I read a lot of good books. The Jessica Darling series by Megan McCafferty was pretty monumental. I reread the Amelia Peabody series by Elizabeth Peters just for giggles (and that's like 18 books). I know I read way more but those are the ones I can remember right now. I had a lot of down time at work so I went through about a book a day.

Now, how was your summer? And what was on your reading list? I hope moving to your new place was exceptional. I, personally, can't wait to do that myself next summer.

Oh - I must upload some pictures for you to look at! My hometown is _beautiful_! One of the many advantages is that the water's so fresh; it sounds cliché but when I've been to Stockholm the tap water's been aweful. My town has a population of around 10.000 people and it's hard to find both work and things to do here. The largest city in the area is about 6,2 km away, inhabited by around 73.000 people - and I don't think it's nearly as beautiful as Alvsbyn is (where I live). What about your hometown? Is it big? How's the weather? We'll have about -4 degrees Fahrenheit during the winter and around 77 degrees in the summer. Sometimes it gets colder though (always in January), I remember one winter where we had -22 degrees for over 10 days straight and where it finally ended up being -40.
My toes have never been that cold. Ever! :)

I worked as an assistant to a 56 year old man, a 52 year old woman and a 25 year old man. I love them all - a thing which really surprised me in the end! It's very challenging though - I've been responsible for three people who cannot fend for themselves! That's kind of scary. I read in your blog that you're done with high school - what's next for you? What do you dream of becoming?

It really look forward to the recipe - and I'll work on yours! :D

YAMATM! (You are more awesome than me!)

Hi! :D I know, it's been ages since I've even been on here and I'm _terribly_ sorry I haven't replied to you sooner! Psorry! :D My summer's been quite nice; I've worked as a personal assistant and actually enjoyed it, read Twilight and loved it, fought with my mum constantly and moved out of the house and back home twice. How's your summer been?
I'd LOVE to get my hands on that Thai noodle dish, could you send me the recipe? If you do, I'll be so grateful that I'll.. buy you a puppy sized elephant!

I'm translating recipes at the moment and will send some to you soon. I'd love to hear what you think of one in particular; it's a Swedish dish called "Palt" which is made out of flour and grined potatoes, then boiled and eaten with butter and jam. :D We only make it in the North of Sweden though, were I live.

YAA (You are awesome)!
