You should try to find a stuffed Dread Pirate Fireball Wilson Roberts/Bubbles the Nerdfighting Puppy. Or invent a new Nerdfighting companion of your own.

You'll need a plastic pocket protector and lots of pens and mechanical pencils. If your shirt doesn't have a breast pocket then maybe you can draw one on. Oh, and a slide rule.

We have a Nerd Day as well. I'm wearing a Star Trek tee shirt with Spock/NF hands on it, a skirt, patterned tights, knee socks, glasses, and carrying lots of books (=

My friend wore basically the same outfit except different mismatched socks and her marching band shoes instead of sneakers :)

What Kind of Nerdfighter Are You?

About Me:
Hello I'm Ronni, though you guys all know that. I'm 16, and will be a junior when school starts. I'm usually a fairly happy person, and I love laughs and hugs. I severly hate teasing and fighting of any sort. I dislike negativity in general. I love helping people, in any way I can.
My first love is music. I play clarinet in symphonic band, and I sing alto in both school and community choir. In addition to clarinet, I play sax and I recently started piano.
My second love is writing. I like writing short poems and song lyrics. I'm also currently working on a novel, which desperately needs a title. I hope to have it finished, and possibly published by the end of high school.
After high school I plan to go to a fairly small college somewhere in the upper U.S. I want to major in music therapy, and minor in psychology and Spanish.
Favorite Books, Movies, Music, and more
The Outsiders, My Sister's Keeper, Second Glance, Looking for Alaska, Harry Potter, Twilight series, Alex Rider series, and Bridge to Terabithia.
What's your favorite thing to put on your head?
Hats! When I'm not at school I'm wearing a hat. :D
If you could do your happy dance with anyone who would it be with?

Yeah. I hate how my parents are about facebook. But they're probably right, lol, it's always awkward when I forget who I'm friends with and people get bothered by things I post.

Heh, that's usually the only thing homophobic people use for evidence.

I definitely agree.

Nice! I like reading too.

Yeah, I've been going places a lot too, so I'm late replying sometimes.

I want to start making some, but my parents are fully against the idea of me posting myself online... they're afraid I'll say something stupid and then no college will accept me because of it.

That sounds like fun. I talked with this kid who was a liberal atheist like me this weekend and it was fun. We didn't really debate though since we agreed on most things... Heheh, I think it's too easy to win a gay marriage debate with conservatives though. They have no basis for their discrimination.

Yeah, this Batman comic is good. It's really more of a mystery than action, and I like that.
Holes is great. It's deep and it's funny.
Haha, yeah, I still live by some of Andy Griffith's writings today. Some of his books give me great ideas for pranks or stupid activities. I was a semi-advanced reader in elementary school too. I read the Hardy Boys and some other mystery books. But I wasn't reading classics like Oliver Twist, lol.

See you later!

Hi. I was away for a week, so sorry for taking so long to reply.

I don't have any good videos. I used to make AMVs or whatever, but youtube took them down for copyright issues...

See, being with liberal people is really cool. It's not like that for me. I just avoid the subject of politics with my friends, lol.

Okay, I'll definitely check it out. And I'll read Nineteen Minutes too.

Jeph Loeb wrote a great graphic novel called Batman: The Long Halloween. Loius Sachar wrote Holes, a true classic.
Most of Andy Griffith's stuff is aimed towards young boys. Um, potty humor and what not. But I thoroughly enjoyed The Day My Butt Went Psycho in elementary school.

Well, I just got a scorewriter program online, but I'm not sure what it's called. It's not that good though...
And yeah, when I do try to write something, I always give up. Actually, I never really get past five measures.

It is a cool program. I really enjoy doing it even though my reviews never get published (that's another part about it, people select the best reviews and they go in some local newspapers). But the Cappies have groups all over the country. There might be one near you, and I think all you have to do is get one of your teachers to contact them.
The A/V club is the audio/visual club. It's sort of like for kids who like making videos. Actually, Weird Al mentions it in his song White and Nerdy towards the end.

That's cool. I used to listen to numetal a lot more than I do now. But I still like it a lot.

Oh that's cool. So we have similar situations then.

Except my parents don't really like showing our liberalness... and they really don't like it if I show mine too much. They're not as strong willed about a particular side of politics as I am...

Oh, cool. I never read Farenheit 451, but I am a fan of Ray Bradbury.
Nice. I've never read The Outsiders, or either of the Jodi Picoult books, but I have read Paper Towns, Looking for Alaska, and Stargirl. I really enjoyed all three of them. The only Jodi Picoult book I read was The Pact, which I also liked.

My favorite authors are JK Rowling, John Green, Andy Griffith, Jeph Loeb, and Louis Sachar.

I've never really understood why we were in a Crystal Lake district, but whatevs. There isn't really anywhere else for us to go anyway.

I think it's really funny when people hate Cary-Grove kids. They think we are druggies (when that's only a minority of the school).

I know some people from Central. Central's pretty cool. Cary-Grove doesn't have any kind of rivalry against Central, so I guess it's okay we're talking to each other. xD

I took US History this past school year, so I'm not in summer school. I know a lot of people who are taking it though.

Cool. I try to make up songs too. It's a lot of fun. I've been trying to actively write music lately, but it hasn't been working.

I was involved in a lot of band stuff this school year, and this program called the Cappies where writers from one school go review school plays from other schools and then we give out awards and stuff. But besides that, I didn't do too much.
This year though I think I'm going to drop some of the band stuff and join more clubs like my Class of '11 committee and maybe the A/V club.

Yeah, I seriously thought I was the only person who complained out of habit. And I think people really got annoyed by it after a while. Now I've been able to catch myself before I say anything though.

Yeah, I listen to all sorts of music too. The only thing I don't like is country. But mainly I listen to rock, soft rock, power pop, funny songs (like Weird Al) and some numetal.

Awesome. A lot of my friends are conservative and I live in a conservative town. Even my mom has been showing more conservative tendencies than I realized, but it's all good. I think that liberals or people with more open minds are just easier to get along with.

Cool, so you like writing right? Does that mean you like to read too? What books do you like?

Hi, I'm responding to your comment in my Nerdfighterlike discussion:

Cool, music is awesome! I play the sax too. I also like to sing, but mostly in the shower and occasional in my room if no one else is home.

Wow it seems like you do a lot of stuff, that's really cool.

I notice that I kind of complain a lot too. I mean I think I just got accustomed to doing it. Lol, sometimes I'll say I'm hungry even if I'm not really hungry just to start a conversation. But I guess I get annoying after a while. But I've been doing that less too.

So, what kind of music do you like?
