I like John Green. And I'm a nerd. That's why I joined. But I love Harry Potter and Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Doctor Who and John Green and theatre and cookies and reading in general and veganism (although not necessarily in that order).
Rowena is worth approximately 500 camels, according to a Bedouin shop owner in the Jordanian desert. She barely avoided being trampled in an elephant stampede in the South African savannah. She opted out of tasting fried scorpions in China, being a vegetarian, but loved the sticky rice in Northern Thailand. She has survived a sandstorm in Chilean Patagonia and has tasted the world's best hot chocolate (in her humble opinion) in a small coffee shop in Leiden, in the Netherlands. She has performed at the Fringe Festival in Edinburgh, Scotland, and saw her first show at the Globe Theatre when she was eight. She once spent a month, at the age of eleven, living on her own in an apartment in a tiny village in the middle of nowhere called Panicale in Italy. In fact, she had been to all of the continents but Antarctica before her fourth birthday.
However, when she's not off trekking the globe, and the wonders and terrors it has to offer, she is happily living in Austin, Texas, which she non-biasedly believes is home to the best wonders of the world. She loves her friends madly and wishes to offer them her sincere thanks because she really can't do anything without them.
She also wishes to remind them that she has a lot of very important things going on, like slaying sparkly vampires or fighting zombies or breeding ninja lemurs or creating baked goods for aliens in order to ensure peaceful interplanetary communications, so if she doesn’t win NaNoWriMo this year, it was due to circumstances entirely out of control, like Voldemort’s return to power, and there was absolutely nothing she could do about it. And her shower curtain looks much better with blue and turquoise flowers than with Robert Pattinson’s face.

What's your favorite thing to put on your head?
a purple and lime green duct tape top hat I made one year.
If you could do your happy dance with anyone who would it be with?
My friends! And also maybe J. K. Rowling. No, I'd just look stupid. Whenever I meet famous people I always embarrass myself: "Libba Bray, I kind of want to be you!' ~Me
