"Love my Kindle. Love actual books. There's room in my life for them both.
There's no denying that books have a romance to them. My home would feel pretty empty without overflowing bookshelves. But I have to admit, I read a lot more since I…"
"I love love love physical books, and I would be heartbroken if they all started be released electronically.
That being said, I own a Kindle (one of the ancient ones with the keyboard), and I love it. I struggle with reading off screens, but…"
"I'm against the electronic books, because I like holding the book in my hand, it's more "romantic" and I will read more when I have the book like that, because I don't want to have to turn my computer on all the time... But…"
"I agree that there are a lot of good reasons why ebooks are a good thing. But I have three words that very fully explain why I hope regular books will continue to be printed: Used book stores. You can't do that with a digital copy."
"I recently bought a Kindle after taking quite a while trying to make up my mind about it. Mostly for the reasons you mention - the physical feel of a book etc. I thought I'd really miss the things about books that you don't get…"
"Books are sacred to me. Without books seeping out of every corner, my home won't feel complete, without book shelves lining every wall in my home, and bookcases dividing the rooms into smaller areas, I would feel lost.
With that said, I do own…"
"There are a number of sponsored websites and communities where you can buy out-of-print books online. It's not through amazon, but the files are still 100% compatible with e-readers. Some of these books are free and some are not. I have found a…"
"I agree with Adrienne. At first I was very skeptical about buying a Kindle because there was no physical feel of a book being in my hands. Something was very wrong with this, indeed. But I chose a kindle because the screen is less like a computer…"
"I own a Kindle and I absolutely love it. I live in a tiny tiny town so a lot of the books I want to read are really hard to get here so it's awesome to be able to get them in a matter of seconds. I can also fit it in my purse so i can whip it…"
Now that school is over I have a free summer. I couldn't find a job so I have hardly anything to do. I decided that instead of moping around the house I would try to do something signifiant every day. I plan on keeping some sort of notebook about every thing I do. Some ideas I already have are sending flowers to a random person and making a sidewalk chalk mural infront of the library.Do you guys have any ideas? It has to be something low or no cost and something I can do locally in hometown…See More
I run a trivia website mailing list conglomerate called the Friday Factoid that has a new random fact every week. My goal is for it to become a pop culture phemon-onon.I am a musician who plays alto saxophone and is trying to pick up guitar and piano. I love all types of music, including bugle corps, Israeli hip-hop, and big band, but I'm not fond of free form jazz. My favorite type of bubble gum is Big Leauge Chew cause it makes good bubbles but doesnt' stick to your face.
