What Kind of Nerdfighter Are You?
The new kind that likes to have fun and get to meet a new community of like minded individuals and at the same time learning new things about stuff around me.
About Me:
I'm from Scotland but I got moved to America because of my dads work. Despite the fact I've now spent more of my life in the U.S than Scotland I still consider myself Scottish, no matter what other people say, or think for that matter. I love to read, watch movies, and browse the web like most people on this site I guess. I'm kinda and willing to help anyone with their problems if I can, Miracle Max I'm not. I am the way I am because of my family who are also a bunch of nerds and I love them because of it.

Damn it! I found someone who likes Ink! I am not alone in my love of the film! SUCCESS! Also, thank you for finally getting Shaz/Misa/Airsick Gnomes to listen to Ayreon for me. You have no idea how much I spam her with music.

My name used to be a name. They were talking about anagrams in chat and I did mine, and Airsick Gnomes was one of the results, and I thought it was rather humorous, so I changed my name to it. You're not stupid, just didn't notice. It's not uncommon. Most people don't notice when I change things. If I can draw that, and get a picture, I will, XD. It's a brilliant idea.

Also, I watched Mirrormask this morning. It'd been too long since I'd seen it.

I guess, but I've had the whole leaving random comments thing go...south in the past, so I guess you could say I'm a bit shy about it a lot of the time. However, I took the risk with you, and it turned out pretty spiffy, so I'll probably be taking it more often.

I finished The Human Equation before I went to sleep. It was amazing, and left me in awe. The music alone don't even have words. Even without the lyrics, the music alone could portray the emotions in their rawest forms, and I just...really enjoyed it (which, I kinda knew I would, but yeah.)

So, yeah, um...I get a lot of my taste in stuff from my stepdad (and mom, and dad, and friends) too, but still, for a man that likes Ozzy, The Ramones, The Beatles, The Rembrandts, David Bowie, and Johnny Cash to like The Killers was a bit of a shock to me, as it was just a random conversation in the car that made me realize it.

The Cruxshadows have some amazing music. Eurydice, the dramatic readings of Jabberwock and Annabell Lee, um...just, yeah, they're pretty epic, but Wake the White Queen is great.

I bought Stardust like...2 years before the movie came out, and then I watched the movie, and was like: WHAT!? NO, IT'S NOT TRISTAN!!! THEY SAID IT WRONG! And in QotD, where they're all like: Marius made Lestat. I'm like: Nooooo, Marius made ARMAND, who is a little REDHEADEDRUSSIANBOY not Antonio Banderas, but yeah. Point is there.

Also, I though Ayreon sounded familiar, and my friend Felix was linking to it at one point but I never got a chance to enjoy it, so now I will, but yeah. When you started explaining it, I was like: wait a minute! I know this!

The fact that you commented back made ME a happy camper, because I've like...made no friends here, and so, it excited me. Thank you.

Voltaire, definitely Voltaire. There is an intense love in my life for that man's musical talent (and his short films). And then I proceeded to read the rest, and was blindsided by words/names such as: Musicals, Dream Theater (which I haven't heard much of, but I've heard enough to know it is epic win), Pink Floyd, Hard rock, Dropkick Murphys (which is just full of love), Relient K, Queen (my adoration for Freddie Mercury knows no bounds), Flogging Molly (again, love), DragonForce (so many of my friends have made me obsess, but not nearly as much as some of my other obsessions), The Killers (the fact that my stepdad likes this band, along with some of the other stuff he likes, astounds me), RUSH, Blackmores Night, and Misfits. Yes, I did copy-pasta your list and take out what I didn't really know. I will admit to that, but it would have looked the same if I hadn't.

Film wise, we have: Lord of the Rings Trilogy (extended versions are at my mother's), Stardust (but the book was better), Mirror Mask (I own this for my PSP. I also have an obsession with the band The Cruxshadows, who wrote a song about this movie, called Wake the White Queen), Queen of the Damned (again, the book was better, and they changed some things, but still a decent movie with good music in it), How To Train Your Dragon (YES PLEASE! <333 ADORE. I watched it like...10 my best friend is cheap, we did see it once in theaters though, but the other nine times...yeah...), Despicable Me (which, I haven't seen, but I want to, so I am leaving it on the list), Moulin Rouge! (there is an exclamation point here, which makes me happy on so many levels, because this movie is so amazing, and my friend gave away his DVD on accident and it saddens me), Back to the Future (I want. A delorian. That is how bad I love this movie)

And..just yeah, I'm at a pretty much epic loss for words at the moment, so I'm gonna stop this long comment now.

Your taste in music is smashing, at least the ones I've heard (and I'm sure the ones I've not heard are just as brilliant). I also have to say the same about your movies.

This might seem random, but I felt it had to be said.
