Hallo Nerdfighters! It's been a while!I've been recently hearing a lot of complaints from many of my friends that we are now "adults" with these "job" things, and as such we have no time for creativity or things we once loved. So, in order to combat the suck of being an "adult" (I really don't believe in adults), I started this facebook group called "Muse Motivation"."So many people once they grow up leave their imagination in the past. And an unused imagination goes to waste quickly; stagnating…See More
I would love to take that offer, but am unfortunately bound to three more years of college before I can go. What is it like living in japan? I have only ever visited once and that was only for two weeks...."
So, it's less of a discussion. But I thought I might try to help out the company I'm working for.I am living in Japan as some may know. I teach English here. It's fun and easy. The company I work for now, Bernard English School, is looking to hire two new teachers soon.If you're interested in moving to Japan for a year or more to teach Englishe-mail resume, cover letter and a small business photo to firstname.lastname@example.org…See More

What Be Your Nerd Type?
Your Result: Anime Nerd
If anyone is likely to dress up in a crazy outfit, you are! You enjoy the visual stimulants of intense art accompanied with deep plots of fantasy, science-fiction, real-life; or you are just obsessed with Japan and everyone and everything in it. They love to gather with people like themselves at conventions and act crazy! The anime nerds are often associated with the stereotype of being the "psychotic" nerd, because they tend to be obsessive over their characters and series. You psycho! I'm just kidding! But seriously, all forms of art should be appreciated, and anime is definitely one of them.
Whether it's poetry, stories, or comic books, you like to put things down on paper. Writing means a lot to you. It's how you express yourself. You've also probably read one...or both of John's books :)
wow, sounds like you'll be doing as much if not more grad school that i am. i think i'm going to aim for the behavioral/social psychology direction and work with teens in detention centers. either that or work with younger aged kids who have autism or something else along those lines. but i could still go multiple directions with it...
and i too am addicted to learning. that and i just don't want to grow up yet lol
That's so cool! Where did you go to school before? Also I just noticed you havethe song Lilium from Elfen Lied on your page, which was an anime I really liked. Haven't had a chance to read it yet though...
I've always had a thing for learning about why people behave the way they do, so it just sort of made sense. I'm still in the beginning phases of my major, but I really like it. So you're in Japan right now? That's amazing, it's somewhere I plan to travel to whenever I get the chance.
I'm sorry for all the questions, but I want to be as prepared as I can. I want to get a lot of people's opinions before I seriously consider anything. I'm a bit nervous for the day I do move there (I'm pretty positive it's happening--teaching English in Japan has been a goal of mine for two or three years now) and things like this really help.
