Happy New Years and all that! Tomorrow is going to be a new year and I'm going to have trouble adjusting from "2011" to "2012". I feel like I've only just gotten used to saying 2011, too!So, tomorrow I might be making my first vlog and I'm a little bit nervous but way excited. I even cleaned my room up a bit! - Hey, sup, yo! My name's Shelby, I'm 16 and I live in sunny California. Don't let my charismatic text (How can text even be charismatic?) fool you, I'm an awkward ball of awkward once you get to know me.
I'm home schooled and have a lot of issues concerning that so I'll try not to keep on that subject too much.
I'm an artist, pencils are my weapons of choice along with college ruled notebooks and when I can get my hands on some, charcoal. I have a wing fetish so it's not odd at all if I have lots of drawings of people with wings. Also mermaids with wings, because that's honestly something I draw. Very, very often. Like, if I tell you I'm drawing something, 8 out of 10 times it's a mermaid with wings.
I have characters that I draw often, one being a mix between a Serval (Points if you already know what kind of animal that is) and a Maned Wolf and his name is Dr. DEW.
He's a crime fighter who wears a cape.
Also I got his name by asking my friend if she wanted a Dr. Dew, instead of a Dr. Pepper or Mountain Dew.
I paint my nails often, and usually with quirky designs (I can do polka dots and tiger stripes!) or mis-matching fingers (One being blue and the other being purple or something like that).
I'm a Ravenclaw.
My favorite Pokemon is Charizard for reasons.
I'm a Time Lady.
I'm a gamer (Though a terrible one, seriously).
I watch a LOT of TV shows and movies.

Happy New Years and all that! Tomorrow is going to be a new year and I'm going to have trouble adjusting from "2011" to "2012". I feel like I've only just gotten used to saying 2011, too!

11/16/11: The beginning. (Spoilers for books I'm reading/have read!)
I've had a blog before, lots actually, but they all crashed and burned. No clue why they just sort of, did.
So being a new nerdfighter, I'm trying to get interested into doing more nerdy things. And when I think of nerdy things the first thing always comes to mind: books.

Sky Watcher said… I play Guitar, Piano, Organ, Drums, Bass, and Singing. I also can rap, but thats a secret, -shhhh-. And I know my way around a studio, which can be an instrument by itself. I also hope to learn how to play the Banjo, Mandolin, Upright Bass and stuff. My philosophy is “No matter how good a situation is, it can always be improved by music.” My mood also changes when I watch a certain movie, or read a certain book. I think that’s why I like movies/books/music, because I feel like I can experience so many new points of view or new emotions. It’s magical. :) And yeah, I’m a total sap…. Haha.
Did you know you can play free on WoW up to level 20 now? That’s what I’ve been doing. You can actually keep playing for as long as you want, you just don’t level after 20. But I like questing and getting lost in the story line anyways, so it’s fine with me. I’m a Night Elf Hunter, officially, but I like to play on my Blood Elf too. Besides those, I think I like playing as a troll the best. But yeah, I’m definitely “For the Alliance!” lol So what about you? What do like to do best on WoW?

=P yeah, I love Neutral Milk Hotel a lot. My lyrics are weird because I almost always write them in a state of sleep deprived delusion, because I don't sleep very well, so I write songs at night, and then record them the next day. Fun times. So yeah, It's cool to meet you =D I noticed you draw, I do to, I like drawing in ink, my journal is a sketchbook, and thats not just a metaphor, its like, Journal entry, journal entry, abstrack ink drawing of a toaster for 4 pages, then back to journal entrys. Nope, I’ve never played Star Ocean before, but it sounds cool. I’m kind of in the same position as you, I’m in-between gaming systems, and so I’ve been using my computer lately. Mostly I’ve been playing World of Warcraft… I’m a little addicted, lol.
Haha… I know what you mean. I definitely got some of my musical taste from my parents, like their love of classical music, but a lot of their music I do NOT like. J Hmm… favorite Nickel Creek song, that’s a hard one. I think it would have to be ‘Jealous of the Moon.’ It’s one of their older songs, but I still love it!

No problem :) I like to give new poeple a note because I'm pretty new on here too. Hmm, I like to play a lot of the classics like Zelda and Mario brothers.. but I also like the grand adventure types like the Uncharted games. PS3 is probably my favorite system, but I don't have one myself :( What about you?
I LOVE Nickel Creek. I kind of grew up listening to them, thanks to my siblings' good taste in music. LOL, Nickelback.
