"I didn't get the Principal job I was after. I was a bit shocked not to even get an interview for it, so that knocked me flat for a bit last week.

"We've been pretty good, actually. I've been totally flat out at work, and Debbie has been flat out with Eli, but I think we're both enjoying life at the moment. I've just submitted an application for a Principal position in a…"
"I know this is a little late, but I just now found your profile after having neglected this site for quite a while. I read through the blog, and it brought tears to my eyes ... I am so sorry for your loss. My SIL died (on 4/11/94) while pregnant…"
"You wrote in January, "Another Terry Pratchett fan! Which book is your favourite?" LOL, how do you pick a favorite? They're all so good. But ... I think my favorite SERIES is the Night Watch series. I always get the feeling that Sam…"
I like icecream.
I am Very Old.
Calvin Maxwell is my boy.
Princess Natalie is my girl.
Wynflete is my homie.
My day job is as the Assistant Principal at a high school in South Australia.
My evening job used to be solving technical problems for Debbie, but she doesn't need me for that anymore, so I guess it is just to make sure I stay beautiful.
Favorite Books, Movies, Music, and more
I am a bit of a book whore - I tend to like the most recent discovery that I've made, but Looking for Alaska actually did make a big emotional impact. I also eagerly await each new installment from Terry Pratchett and Jasper Fforde. In a previous life I was a school librarian, and I still tend to mostly read YA fiction.
What's your favorite thing to put on your head?
Calvin Maxwell. (But not for very long, he's a bit heavy.)
If you could do your happy dance with anyone who would it be with?
Howdy world! It is going to be the birthday of Debbie (Wynflete) next week, on May 29th.
It would be awesome if Nerdfighters could wish her a happy birthday on Thursday, in whatever way they can. This might be as simple as a comment on her page, or a Youtube message, or even a birthday video or vlog (for those inclined to do such things.)
I'd like to keep this a surprise, so please don't mention anything before Wednesday (US time). Australia is quite a bit ahead of America… Continue
Two years ago Debbie and I were about to head off to Adelaide, where she would give birth to our daughter Isabelle, who would die. I've spent this evening going back through the blog that we kept during that pregnancy and I really want people to understand some of the emotions that we are dealing with in this current pregnancy.… Continue
I hope you get the principalship! And i'm glad to hear that everything is going well!. As for myself i've been well... much like an elevator lolz. one of the ones in a really really tall buildings, but right now i'm doing pretty good. I currently have a boyfriend =D, my first one of those lolz. And graduation is less than 2 1/2 months away, i can't wait!!!!! Kee[ me posted on your job offer thing, and just like everything in general =D
You wrote in January, "Another Terry Pratchett fan! Which book is your favourite?" LOL, how do you pick a favorite? They're all so good. But ... I think my favorite SERIES is the Night Watch series. I always get the feeling that Sam Vimes is just about as unfiltered autobiographical Pratchett as we're ever going to get. I also love the later ones in the Witches series where Granny Weatherwax gets fleshed out more. I think my most re-read one, though, is "Good Omens" with Neil Gaiman. How about you?
