About Me:

I'm in college working towards becoming a high school English teacher. I hope to decrease suck and increase awesome in high school classrooms in California (or any state which looks like it wants to hire me) in the next few years. Once there, I'd love to show kids the depth and meaningfulness of great books while getting through vocabulary and grammar lessons as quickly as I can.

Favorite Books, Movies, Music, and more

I generally read sci-fi, fantasy, environmental and political nonfiction, some history, and (since I bought a kindle and they're free and great) some classics.

I listen to metal for the most part along with some guitar geek stuff and some musical tastes I've "inherited" from my parents (e.g. Miles Davis, Van Morrison, Fleetwood Mac)
