About Me:

I'm a real Yankee - born and bred in New Hampshire (you know, that tiny state that many people either A.] don't believe exist or B.] hate so much because everyone is so snobby (or even C.] believe that it's in another country entirely when I tell them it's in New England)).

Currently I'm an undergrad at Wesleyan College majoring in International Relations with a minor in Political Science, and at the moment I am studying abroad at Osaka University in Osaka, Japan.

Mainly, I love to hang out with my friends, and second to that - I love to eat. In fact, I believe that eating is pretty much why I exist - or that food exists to make living beings happy.

Hip-Hop Enka Singer

Alright, I just thought I had to share this:

This is Jero, the first African American Enka singer in Japan. He's a quarter Japanese, I believe, since his grandmother is Japanese. If you love enka (which is very old way of singing in Japanese), you'd be surprised at how good this guy is. His Japanese is great and his voice is just beautiful. This guy gives me goosebumps. Ranunculus is in the Buttercup family - the leaves looked Ranunculus-like to me, and the orange color is poppy-like, but it has way too many petals!! As a naturalist-botanist, I know native plants and plants in their natural state, but I'm not so good with horticultural ~~monstrosities~~varieties which have been bred for mutant characteristics like too many petals - ha.
