- i am a twenty year old YA fiction fiend with a fetish for a cappella and theatrical exploits. i am sometimes a reluctant student of spanish filologia (woop) but right now i am an english teacher, with 450 students (ye gads), and i shamefully only know about 100 names (but when they are things like arantxa and iranzu and iñigo it's sort of difficult)
YES: cinnamon in everything, zip zap BOING, irreverent musicals, red wine and lemonade, messing around in boats, articulate, muddy walks.
NO: anyone/thing willfully ignoring all the recycling signs i post merrily around the kitchen. your/you're misusage (GAAHHHH). weak coffee.

Everyone Sang
Everyone suddenly burst out singing,
And I was filled with such delight
As prisoned birds must find in freedom;
winging wildly across the white
orchards and dark green fields; on - on - and out of sight.
Everyone's voice was suddenly lifted;
And beauty came like the setting sun:
My heart was shaken with tears, and horror

Blurbing Book Club: 13 Little Blue Envelopes

i got blogtagged: five facts that are not necessarily relevant or even interesting
1. i would probably never have posted on here were it not for the blogtagging.
2. not because i don't want to (i do! i love foisting my opinion on others!) but because i have little to no motivation when there are no deadlines.
3. i'm bringing nerd glasses back, femme style. i think mine are even geekier than john's.
4. i have a number of random things in my desk drawer, none of which are items of stationary. they include a barracuda jaw bone, a brownie guide… Continue

I have not yet gotten the chance to check out those links (trust me, I will!) but I did some searching in my facebook messages and found the group that did "Kiss From a Rose" and it was sort of a "duh" moment - The King's Singers, of course. I should have gone with my gut instinct...
In response to your comment on the forum, I like all types of a cappella - barbershop, contemporary and also choral stuff (especially Whitacre and Lauridsen - *melt*)
