What Kind of Nerdfighter Are You?
About Me:
I'm a college student in Michigan working towards a degree in secondary education.

Southpaw, vegetarian for about 12 years, lover of random and obscure facts, indie music fiend, bookworm extraordinaire, television fan (especially sci fi, cough Firefly and BSG and Doctor Who cough). Purveyor of all things nerdy.
Favorite Books, Movies, Music, and more
Pride and Prejudice, The Mists of Avalon, Backlash, Anne of Green Gables series, Harry Potter, His Dark Materials, The Second Sex, Maus, Jane Eyre, The Handmaid's Tale, Me Talk Pretty One Day, Possession, The Girls, North and South (by Margaret Gaskell, not the crappy Civil War family saga!), The Time Traveler's Wife
What's your favorite thing to put on your head?
My nerdfighting puppy, though she doesn't stay on long.
If you could do your happy dance with anyone who would it be with?
Probaby Joss Whedon, if only so I could thank him for his entire body of work.
When did you start watching the Vlogbrothers?

Hey Diedra!
I just thought that I'd mention that I finally got around to reading The Girls.
You were totally right about the style, and how they really do become very real. At times I did have to remind myself that this was fiction - it was so well written.
I would love any recommendations you have because The Girls was totally awesome, in fact I will probably get some ideas from your vlog on Friday!
See you then

according to wiki, "Nerd Pride Day, or Geek Pride Day, is an initiative which claims the right of every person to be a Nerd or a Geek. Of Spanish origin ("día del orgullo friki" in Spain), it is celebrated nowadays among Spanish frikis (an equivalent of Geeks and Nerds).[1]

This day is celebrated on May 25 since 2006, celebrating the premiere of the first Star Wars movie in 1977."

if you ever come accross the news photo of that day, my husband and his sister are visible in the line.

I think we have the same taste in books. David Sedaris? Freakonomics? The Handmaid's Tale? Amazing! Except that I'm not a huge PnP fan. But, I do love Anne of Green Gables!
