About Me:
My name is lydia.
I talk too much, but that's okay because I have a lot to say.

I'm good at writing, and I love reading (B&N is a second home). I have a book called 1001 books to read before you die, and I'm not dying till I finish them all. And a plethora of other books on my many lists.

I go to an art specialty high school, which means I get to have good art teachers, and use (some) cool materials, and it goes on my application, and I get to meet real artists who teach us stuff (well, in jr. year I will) I am so so so happy that they accepted me in, and I'm so happy to be here. There are thespians, and dancers and musicians, and art nerds, and they're all great. Well, mostly, it's still high school.

I'm always trying to stuff knowledge in my head, poetry, plays, books, fun facts, and so many many opinions. Naturally I'm pretty opinionated.

I love plants, and books, and interesting objects, I strive to be perfect, and fail very often, but it's okay.

All I really want in life is to . to . to . to fit all of the perfect things in life like singing with your class / team that you love when everyone knows the words, and giving gifts + having everyone love them, and running off to the woods, and being left alone at a public art show, and fluffing my hair when it looks just right, and biting into a fresh apple when your apsolutely starved, and whispering memorized poetry under your breath, and having your dog jump into your arms on a cold day. If I could stuff all that into one tiny cube, it's be perfect, and I might even cry a little, but would probably just stare in wonder. That reminds me, my one true wish is to look at the sky at midnight, without any clouds in the sky, or light on the earth, and to look at all the stars, w/o the CO2, and look at the stars with everyone else on the planet, it'd be like every staring up at the heavens, and having their heart pour out through their chest.

I like metaphors.

Hey, it's been months, I know. Oh well, I'm here now.

I've just got so many troubles, so many things I can't keep up with!

I love Nerdfighters, so why did I stop watching??

I don't have the will to effectively stick with anything!!

I had straight A's...all honors, now I'm getting Bs because I don't feeeeeel like doing homework. I can't even keep up with facebook, look at my poor Farmville field!! Those poor little buddies are probably wilting and dry! And my… Continue

drawing

well i got the boombox riddle! not much of a riddle, more like a follow the clues thing.

Anyway, i'm not sure what to do with myself, i think i should draw, my drawings are so different from those skewed portraits in my 'my pictures', but everything recently has been doodles, or on tests or worthless. Sigh, i want to learn water colors. And graphic design. I should do that, in fact i will...once my homework is out out out of the way, as it eats up my time horribly.

I want… Continue

It's a New Age of LIterature

I've dumped my old blog, no one listens, no one exsists. I've very recently decieded to start following the story of thisisnottom.com, because i've never riddled, because i want to read something not in plain english for ONCE, and because i want to be in the know.

I'm so dissappointed in myself, because i don't get it. I don't understand the riddles, or the story, or those stupid three guys and their retarded boombox! What does it mean , i have no idea, and i have no… Continue

blog two (again with my uncreative titles..)

So today was uneventful. I spent most of it studying for a test in the next period, and reading les miserables feverously. It is quite good, but im pretty daunted by the size. Im scared to be honest, by my calculations (which i re-did with my cell-phone calculator every chapter or so) tell me that at the pace im reading, about 50 pages a day, when im really, really, reading, will allow me to finish the book in about a month........a month!! and that's if i don't miss anydays or fall behind… Continue

first entry - and i really hope this lame title doesn't reflect my creativity level :D

hey everyone! This is my first week on the Ning, and frankly, i am shocked. There are only 49 people online at this current moment, out of almost 22,000 ningfighters. That means that only less than half of half of one percent of the nerdfighters' ning population are currently maintaning their page. We need to get our nerds back! We need to go in and grab them away from whatever other, much more un-awesome website thier wasteing thier time on (im looking at you facebook) and make… Continue

I was in Orchestra 6th grade, and I didn't like it. I originally joined it because I wanted to play music from the Lord of the Rings soundtrack...but I was terrible at violin. I want to learn to play bagpipes or guitar, but I'll probably fail at the latter...I could play recorder decently in Elementary school, so maybe I can play bagpipes...though I doubt I'll ever be able to read notes (I've been trying to teach myself since I was little, but have failed). I'll probably just stick to writing; I'm decent at acting, I suppose, but I'm only moderately good at singing and I can't dance to save my life. I'm going to major in theatre and history, though I'll probably just work for local theatre and try to get published in writing.

I was on crew for a play called You Can't Take it With You and it was amazing. I was also in the chorus (that is, I had no speaking roles but sang and danced) in The Boyfriend and Oklahoma. Oh, and if you can get permission junior or senior year, take theatre classes at the Midlothian campus of John Tyler Community College with Kerrigan Sullivan. She is an amazing teacher, I did the Halloween play Fright Night with her (it was written by a friend of mine) and was in her Creative Drama class last semeseter (where we learned Improv, like the made of awesome show Whose Line is It Anyway?)

Right now I'm a senior in high school, though not at Thomas Dale. But you will really will love it there ^_^

I used to go to Thomas Dale for theatre and I loved it. You will too. I highly suggest trying out for a play or going on tech crew. Unfortunatly Halbert, who was my teacher freshman year and taught theatre production as well, is not there anymore, but I believe the new teacher is good as well ^_^
