Rumors of my demise have been (somewhat) exaggerated.
'I'm not dead yet, I feel fine!'
Hello, I haven't been here for a while I apologize, things have been rather hectic of late.
A quick run down of events since last chat.

As well as painting and creating things, I love taking photos, I like to experiment with light. I love also photographing bands performing, its my fave' thing about gigs, after singing along and dancing like a nutter of course.
Hence most of my photos will be of bands or my work:)

It's nice to see another furry, I just joined yesterday so it's a nice welcome.
What's your 'sona?
Grant Miller said… Yes, I liked Captain Shakespeare, too! I was a bit surprised to find that he was not in the book.
Grant Miller said… I think the movie did a pretty good job overall, and some of the changes were helpful: pushing one of the sons out the window when his father was dying worked well in the movie, for instance. And I liked some of the scenes they added: The bit about the scientists at the beginning was clever, and I liked the scene with the sooth sayer and the runes as well.
On the other hand, I much preferred the way the book described how Yvaine ran away from Tristran. I like that in the book he made the decision to unchain her, whereas in the film she was just rescued by an unexplained unicorn. I also liked the book's handling of the last encounter with Victoria much better.
As is to be expected, the movie was also simplified from the book, and I think some of the changes they made were simply so they didn't have to find a way to explain more complex things that people might not understand (like why Una is freed.) This is of course necessary when doing a film adaptation, but I like the way these things were handled in the book, too.
Grant Miller said… Hey, remember me?
I finally read "Stardust." You're right, it was great. :)
Grant Miller said… I haven't heard it yet, no. I haven't actually played the game yet, either. (I do intend to do that, one of these days!)
Grant Miller said… OK! I'll put it on my reading list. Or more accurately, move it up closer to the top so that I get to it sooner. :)
