BEDA 11: Doctor Who

OMG I was super sad during the day because I KNEW that the Easter Special of Doctor Who was coming on today and I really wanted to see it but I live in the U.S. of COURSE so I couldn't watch it. BUT luckily for me someone uploaded it to Youtube so I got to watch it about two hours ago. IT WAS AWESOME! The story itself wasn't super great but I Love David Tennant of course and he always makes the show worthwhile. Lee Evans was hilarious with all the Best Friends thing and the "I Love You"s at the… Continue

BEDA 8: Let the right one in, ducks/chicks, and easter

I just finished watching a movie called Let The Right One In. It was a swedish movie about this 12 year old kid who falls in love with a 12 year old vampire (except you know not really 12 years old). It was really really good. the ending was very shocking (in a scary way) and beautiful at the same time. I really enjoyed it. I think everyone should see it (if they like vampire stuff. hee)

on thursday we went out and bought three little chicks and three ducks for easter. the ducks were green and… Continue

BEDA 6: *cough*, Ulysses, and Directing

Today in my film class we have started a project (you know to make a movie) and my teacher asked who would be willing to direct it. Nobody particularly want to do it (note there is only 6 people in the class and 3 people aren't hardcore about it and the other 2 have had bad experiences with directing) so I volunteered. I regretted it almost at once. Not because I don't like Directing because I do like it. I like it quite it a lot. But there's lots of responsibility that comes from having to be t… Continue

BEDA: EVIL BABY ORPHANAGE... AN IDEA

okay so I had an idea for the EVIL BABY ORPHANAGE though I don't know how original it is. For me its original of course but I don't know if someones already thought of this before. SO.....

It happened like this. I was watching the new Vlogbrothers video and in the middle of writing about whether I was Team Hank or Team John (Team Switzerland!) I had an epiphany. What if you could make a nice middle ground?
What if there was the founder of the EBO and he created an alternate dimension in space.… Continue

BEDA 4: Posters, Wild Things, and Tricks.

Today walking up the stair case at 7:45am to go to a classroom i saw a poster on the ground of the landing. I thought to myself "huh i wonder whats gonna happen to it" and kept on walking...
then at the top of the stairs i thought "well its probably gonna be thrown away" then promptly went back down the stairs and picked it up. folded it. and put it in my backpack. it was a poster for the book fair. fyi.

Earlier today we were watching Movie Mob! woot and they played a trailer for WHERE THE WILD… Continue

That's good. Enthusiasm is good. I just met my Nerdfighting friends at booksignings. Or libraries.

I have a headache and am getting off the computer as soon as I order some books.

My second roomie LOVED that show...I watched more than I cared to over the second semester here at EMU. That was part of my introduction to Things I Needed To Know About Culture.

What's the most annoying thing you can think of happening?

Frankly, I think mine might be having people invade your personal space. Like your bubble, but also like your bedroom where it's YOUR space.

Or maybe someone who has no business being in the military telling you that they are going to bootcamp. That's pretty annoying too.

I spent vday with my parents. Just like I spent New Years Eve with my parents.

It was pretty awkward, because I didn't realize that my little brother had been invited to go skiing up north with some friends, and my parents were going to have a little alone time except I was like, Hey! I wanna come home and do laundry!

Having children must be the GREATEST thing EVER. Ha!

It wasn't actually that bad--my dad made homemade mac & cheese and it was yummmmy.

I've actually never had a strawberry margarita.

So last night, which is usually a terrifically busy night for me because I have lots of homework and people over at once, was strangely empty. I sat on the couch with my roomie for like 8 hours doing NOTHING. Not because there was nothing to do, but because I could. It was amazing. We were both super-surprised because it was completely unexpected.

Tonight, however, I think there might be a concert to attend. Whoo-hoo! (Right after this nap.)

It's from a musical called The Pajama Game--a song called Hey There...

It's actually one of my favorite musicals, though this is my favorite part:

Hey there! (You with the stars in your eyes...) Just wanted to say hello and, what's up?

I'm in a pretty tickled mood, frankly, because of two things. One, I just got paid to tutor some random guy in music theory. THEORY. Ha! It makes me laugh because I never expected my five semesters of music theory to really be in any way worth it. Granted, it's only five bucks, but whatever. I'll take what I can get.

Two: I actually LIKED teaching him. I know he doesn't understand it as much as I do (not even a fraction!) but he GOT it! Like, he'll be fine on his exam tomorrow (hopefully) and I didn't just show him how to pass a test on paper, but we talked about HOW things sound and HOW to figure them out and I felt like he really started to understand some things. It was amazing! Which is really terrific news because I'm going to be a teacher and I've never been particularly thrilled about it. But there is hope! Wheeeeee!!!

And now for MY homework...can't just sit here playing on the internets. Sadly.
