"Im rereading Jodie Picoult's My sister's keeper. as usual it is a deep, tragic and painful story but one that wil open your eyes to the realities of cancer and the way people and families cope with it.

"I'm working my way through the complete Sherlock Holmes for the first time. I am surprised at how gripping each story is, and find the BBC adaptations to be even more mind blowing as I re-watch them. "
"I recently started Tess of the D'Urbervilles. I'm not really far enough in to make a decision about what I think yet, but it seems like an interesting story, and some of the prose is pretty good, though it can get a little too descriptive…"

I'm a Language/English/Music/Random Question/Useless Facts Nerd :)
I go to boarding school, and I'm going to spend a school year in Italy this coming year, which of course I am ecstatically excited about. I read a ton, and I hang out on the internet probably more than I should.. I love rockclimbing, but I don't do it very often. Ditto with backpacking. I ride horses a lot, during the school year for the most part, and some of my friends and I drive a horse-drawn carriage around on occasion (I did it as a school sport for a season and totally loved it--we have two Percheron draft horses). Languages and linguistics are awesome; I speak pretty good Spanish--although I've lost my fluency in the last year, which is annoying--my French is okay, and I'm going to start taking Latin, Ancient Greek and Italian :). I also sing all the time; I'm a high soprano, and singing is my passion, you could say. Love it love it.
I never have any idea what to say in About Me's. The whole idea seems kind of self-selling to me... and there's not much of a chance anyone could really get to know me through reading anything I could tell you about myself, so I suppose I'll stop now.

You asked in the Ning about the first book in the Vampire Earth Series, and was not sure if you would see the reply, so figured I would tell you here. It is The Way of the Wolf. E. E. Knight is the author. I hope you enjoy!
