TODAY: Got up at 9 and did scholarship work until 11 when I went to lunch with Derrick and Lauren. Looked at funny pics here on Nerdfighters until Derrick had to go to work. Bought stuff for my car. Step-dad Dave did a bunch of that stuff for me while I worked on more scholarship stuff, didn't expect him to. Took my scholarship to the post office in Dillions to have it postmarked. Changed my oil, took way longer than it should have cause Dave's tools are kinda crappy for my… Continue

Bus trips are silly. It took me nine hours to get somewhere that should have only taken four. Do you know what I could have done in that five extra hours of sitting on buses and in taxis and in bus terminals? Yeah, neither do I. Actually I probably wouldn't have done much at all. Actually I probably got more done on the buses, because I didn't have the distractions of people I know and, of course, the Interwebnetblag. I finished a necklace; that was pretty cool, I guess. I don't usually make… Continue

I have always wanted to be the blogging type. I tried, really I did. I wrote some simple things on myspace, I got a livejournal account.... ok well, thats all I did. I just can't seem to find the creativitiy, or the energy to write about my day, or an important topic, even a not-so-important one.
Call me crazy, but I love writing papers for school, and I'm really really good at it. I am not so good, however, at spontaneous, stream of conciousness, or even random ramblings about my… Continue

Okay, so it's not my first vlog EVER, but it's the first one on my new channel. On the ning I'm called Francis, so no one had any idea what CBproductions was. So I decided to start a new channel with the name Francis9105.
Starting Feb 9, 2009 I will be beginning a 14 month trek to revitalize myself, through gaining employment, enriching my knowledge, upgrading my skills, and improving my health. I will be chronicling this trek through here and will keep everyone updated on my status. I am ecstatic about this, my very last trek before I hit the big 3 0 on April 9, 2010. Hopefully this experience will gain loads of wealthy knowledge and gives me a grip on the correct path to a healthy living style. All I have to… Continue

So I've discovered that my mother is literature-ly incompetent. And i say that with the all the love i have for her. I've been giving her books to read lately because she has to travel more for her job. So she has nothing to do but read on the airplanes. Well, the last book i recommended was "This Lullaby" by Sarah Dessen, and she said she really didn't like it, because it was all about sex, drugs and alcohol.
It wasn't! That was a backdrop of reality in that book! The whole story… Continue

I am trying to upload a music video I made for Imogen Heap's song "Hide And Seek." I worked really hard on it and I'm finally satisfied with it, but the first time I tried to upload it, you were all, "REJECTED. You're using copyrighted music."
I have made "copyright music" music videos before and never had this happen, so this must be a new thing. I don't know how you've managed to pull this off. Your reasoning behind the "no copyrighted music" rule is… Continue
Mesoamerican Culture: Looking Into The Past Through The Future
The postclassical era is distinguished best by the growth and expansion of nations such as those who inhabited the Mesoamerican area. Within this area (Mesoamerica) rose powerful empire that kept order while promoting cultural beliefs and movements that made them renowned around the world. The influence that these empire had on future generation of people to inhabit the area has been tremendous… Continue

The life of a tragic hero is that of a wounded beast. When we look at a character like Beatty from Fahrenheit 451, we understand why he hates books so badly. He use to be a fanatic for god's sake. But the day they turned his back on him was the day he went mad. The one things he could trust all of a sudden had no answer for him in his time of need. They were useless and therefore they had to go. Beatty isn't the only tragic hero you can think of. Since the time of Socrates there have been… Continue

Charlie Brown is awesome. I always watch his holiday special but I like reading the comic strip whenever I have a chance. Charle Schultz was an amazing guy (I saw his life story in a documentary by PBS) and it makes me ask how will our generation make their impact?
So its almost time for exams (AHH!) and then winter break. I'm completely swamped with homework that I have to make up (Damn you, weak immune system!) and then I have to study for an exam in Japanese and one in Government (I have the grades to exempt government but I've missed too many classes). I think I can exempt historcal reasearch. AP lit is just a take home exam so I'm not really stressed about that.

I have been soooo busy that I have barely had time to update my blog.
First of-I turned 18 this week! *confetti!*. It was, shall we say, awesome. I spent the day in downtown Richmond with my dad. We went to Chop Suey Twoey...which I think is just called Chop Suey now because the original closed down. *sadface*. For all you non-Richmonders, Chop Suey is a used bookstore. The original store was in what used… Continue
Ehem. So the past month has been pretty jokes. As in, VERY. I met John and Hank Green and they are just as awesome in person as they are on their vlogs, if not more. (btw.....Hank's album=nerdtastic!)
I started working on a novel, so far I have written 250 words and have no idea where the story is going. On top of that, I'm struggling to keep my New Year's resolution of reading 50 books...which is the only one I have any chance of actually doing… Continue
So, these past two weeks have gone by really quickly. Last weekend, the 24th and 25th, I participated in Fright Night, in which I got my limbs sawed of by clowns multiple times. Figurativly, of course.
I made a vlog!! OMG OMG! It's my second vlog EVER.
HOLY crap it's October 19th! That leaves two weeks left in the first nine weeks of my senior year. 0.o
So I'm done *most* of my makeup work...as in about....uh....3/4th. I still have a crudload of AP English, not to metion a test in Chem and Japanese on Thursday
Last Wendnesday's creative drama was epic. Like, seriously. I stayed after for the debate and ended up staying until 2am talking other members of Students for Obama.
It's time for my Friday blog. I've been to lazy to actually do my first vlog...but I'll get it done, I promise. Eventually!
So. My week. I saw *Euryidice last Friday at the Firehouse Theatre. It was good, my favorite character was the "Lord of da undaworld!"....well, he was a complete douche waffle but the actor who played him was excellent. I didn't even realize until I read the playbill that the same actor played "the man" (No, not THE… Continue
