Project X

Well well, I have not made a blog post about a project in a really long time and I apologize for that. Anyway now the time has come for such a post and this project is called, as you can tell from the title, Project X.

Now the thing is that the whole project is kind of secretive and does not really speak of what it is, but from what the head of this project told me it is going to be awesome!

Okay, I can’t really only say “Hey look, time to get excited about… Continue

My name is Tim Wetzel and I am an Americorps NCCC alumni. Recently a budget has been proposed that will eliminate the Americorps program leaving communities with out access to MILLIONS of dollars in grants as well as thousands of individuals who have given their time to make a difference in their communities as well as their nation. Please consider supporting The Americorps Program by talking to your Representative or singing a petition (…

What's going on in this world?!

I am disgraced and disgusted at what this world has become.

This is the 21st century, how is this happening?

Do you know what is going on?

Do you actually know?

What is a major headline on the news? What are girls OUR age's facebooks filled with?

JUSTIN BIEBER HAS CUT HIS HAIR.

NO. JUST NO.

How could you even think about that at a time like this?

Libya. Do you know what is going ON in Libya?

People are being shot… Continue

Life before uni starts

I started watching the vlogbrothers' brotherhood 2.0 videos a couple of weeks ago and uhm, there are a lot. I don't think I'll ever get through them all. I'm currently on 27th march 2007 and I get through maybe.. 3-5 videos per day, before work in the morning and after work late afternoon and late evening. I wonder how this will go when uni starts. Wow, I really want to quit my job. First entry, yay :D

Looking For Alaska Pwns Smoking

On Fox this evening there was a commercial called My 7 Minutes. It's an anti-smoking campaign that shows all of the better things you can do instead of smoking.

I noticed that one of them was a girl reading a book. She held up the book and said "This is my 7 minutes."

That book was Looking For Alaska.

I must say that Nerdfighters once again are working hard to decrease world suck. Go us!

Save your libraries and bookstores!

Hello nerdfighters! I don't know if you've heard, but here in the UK a great number of libraries are set to close and in America, Borders has announced the closure of hundreds of bookstores.  I find this to be very sad news indeed.  Ever since I was really little, libraries have been my 'happy place.'  Whenever I felt out of place at school, picked on or bullied, I'd escape into the nearest library and into a favourite book.  I used to suffer from panic attacks when I changed schools (which…

This City

I decided to post some of my older poetry. Hope you enjoy!

This City

I am the breath of this city

Gasoline lifeblood crawling asphalt veins

This raging, pumping heart's

Chaotic rhythm

Mine.

I am the eyes of this city

Burning spotlights tracing prison walls

These tinted lenses etched with

Fractured beauty

Gone.

I am the ears of this city

Unsettled…

The Law of Conservation of Mass

Probably a short note, but who knows? i might ramble ;D

I have now had two non-Christian friends who believe in reincarnation use the law of conservation of mass as a way to justify their belief. Their Logic is that, if energy can neither be created nor destroyed then, since souls have energy they must not be able to be  created or destroyed thus they must 'reincarnate' or some sort of theory like that.

The problem is a pretty big one: The law of conservation…

Lament 2: Woe to this Lover of Hate

Note: ok so this one has alot more truth to it...

You are everything that hurts me,

Everything I loathe,

Everything I shouldn’t want

But everything…everything

That I cannot live without.

Why? Why do I love you?

My sweet poison?

Why must I want you?

Oh ravager of my soul?

I try and I try and I try yet some more,

To be rid of these feelings at my front…

Lament 1: Emptiness

Note: I want to start by saying this is the first actually 'sad' poem ive written, definitely the first lament, and i just want to make it clear that this is not how i feel though there is (like all good pieces of literature) i seed of truth, anyway, enjoy lol

Too weak to enjoy this life of mine

Too strong to end this great confine,

Woe! is this great conflict of character,

Woe! Is this impatience to see what is…

Life on Circumstances

Born to parents

That were born again.

Raised with the worthiest of kin.

Trusting he’s there

But searching for wisdom.

What I found there

Made me quite fearsome

Tearing her down

Is what I was best at

I thought I had found

But really I’d guessed at,

What it had meant

To be very blessed that,

I took for granted

The girl I digressed at.

The price was high

For…
