Korean President Visits Yanghak Middle School!

So the most peculiar thing happened today. The congressional elections are on April 9th so people have been campaigning frequently and loudly around town.

The new president was born about 20 minutes away from where I live and to my surprize he visited Yanghak today. It was bizzare. Our usually quiet school was in utter chaos with reporters, security, and local dignitaries. The Myrtle Spurge Scourge

It was still winter today near the Shanahan trail just above Boulder. The snow was light and powdery, unlike the wet, spring snow farther down. We opted to try myrtle spurge on Shanahan again today, hoping there would be less snow under the trees and it would be more visible than the med sage down on the plains. It wasn't, really. School Dance

My school had it's 2nd dance of the year on Saturday and it was great. Although it was interesting on who was dancing. The interesting part was that the "cool" kids that went all did not dance, instead sat in the corner and had a bad time. A nerdtastic weekend!

Well sorta it was really just Saturday but you know.

I finally got to attend my first convention of the year down in Birmingham! Yay! It was so much fun as I got to nerd-out for once in a very long while. Yearlong Painting Class

So instead of taking a drawing class next year as an elective, my art teacher wants me to take painting. So I signed up for painting class next year. But the thing is, painting is a YEARLONG elective!! :( That means that I won't be able to take any other term-long electives next year. It sucks, man!!
