<b>More HTML Lessons</b>

If this is your first look at html and you want to learn how to better format your blogs and comments, you should look at my first post on this, HTML Lessons - Learn and Practice Some Formatting Tricks, before you look at this one, since this is "more" :)

Why is Hank Ignoring me?! Hey! This is my first blog without the word "blog" in the title! Wait. Oh no!

Is it just me, or does Hank ignore all of his friend requests? I've been on the ning for months and he's ignored me from the beginning. He probably just hates blonds. :( Kidding. He's blonde. What did I do?!? ARGH!

Short blog, but this is bothering me. I don't do well with rejection.

Omnictionary.com -- THE RETURN

Nerdfighters who miss the Scavenger Hunt (or are looking forward to the release of my new book Paper Towns) should check out omnictionary.com, a new site Hank and I have been working on. (Click on "Major Facts" to get started; if you poke around long enough, there's an Easter Egg awaiting you.) If you find the Easter Egg, feel free to discuss in comments (I hope you think it's as awesome as I do!), but please don't spoil the hunt for… Continue

Weird dreams lately.

I mean, seriously. I'm trying to figure out what's wrong with my brain.

Sometime last week I had this dream in which I was an ear piercer. And people were like "I WANT MY NOSE PIERCED" but I was like, nope *pierces ear in 6 places* 8D. It was really strange. And the ears bled in my dream. What?

Another dream I had was one in which I was held captive by some creepy old man who gave me water bottles and not enough food. He was really creepy and always touched my hair and… Continue

Gamertags

So, I've fallen back into my Call of Duty habit as of late and was thinking that it'd be fun to play with some Nerdfighters! I know not all of you reading this are the video game addicts that I am, but... some of you are! And what better way to get to know people than to band together and kill some other people?
If you're interested, my gamertag is KatieC123. Let's be friends and wreak havoc!

Ch-ch-ch-changes!

WOW!! Look at all these changes!

So, I pop in on the main page for the 4th or 5th time today (you know, like usual) and something seems a little....funny. A bit off in some way I can't quite pinpoint. At first I think maybe it's the font size on the browser, maybe Jason changed it for something and for some reason it didn't reset. I try a few different sizes and decide, no, that's not it. I see the Twitter addition on the left side bar..yeah, that must be it. I read through all of Hanks… Continue

Accepting Twitter

I don't know what celebrity is...heck...I don't even know what success is. But whatever happens here at Nerdfighters.com and at EcoGeek.org as well is a big part of my life. Meaning that you, the people who know me through my blogging and vlogging, are a big part of my life.

Twitter seems very strange to me. I type into a little box and those 140 words get transported across the internet to the 150 or so people who, apparently, give some kind of crap about what I think. But I suppose… Continue

W00T - Nerdfighter Rockband Names

Hello Nerdfighteria,

Today is awesome because I found a possible drummer for the Nerdfighter Rockband and because I'm finally getting some idea of what the name of the band/channel might be. The current frontrunner candidate for the name is "The League of Awesome" other favorite names of include "The Katherines" and "The Puppy Sized Elephants"

I'm really excited for this thing to go down. Now all we need to do is get everything set up and work out all of the technical… Continue

Yay for reading!

I'm so excited that I've really gotten into reading lately. Before Christmas break, my roommate got me into Twilight, and I finished the series just after the new year. Now that I'm waiting for the final book, I'm finding other things to read. I loved 13 Little Blue Envelopes by Maureen Johnson, so I decided to purchase The Golden Firebird by her as well. I finished it last week and really enjoyed it, so today I went out and bought The Bermudez Triangle, and I do… Continue

The Hardworking Poor of Rural Bangladesh

Shawn is the only nerdfighter I know of who lives in Bangladesh. In this video, Shawn shows us the realities of poverty in the developing world and the deeply difficult decisions that young children must make. I can't say enough about what Shawn is doing to decrease worldsuck (also the video editing here is excellent!) We may see more of him here on the front page, and please check out all his amazing work at… Continue

NERDFIGHTER LOSS

I just want to say how sorry I am to hear of the loss of Anne, who was one of the NFs at the London Gathering in January. She was incredibly sweet, and often quiet, and spent the day videoing everyone else. (She was the one who captured the video of my being pulled up Nelson's Column by two magicians.) She made one of the best accounts of the day.

It seems that Anne chose to end her own life. (This is what I heard in the video on the front page.) The loss of any of the NFs is… Continue

Project EBO: Coming soon to a bookstore near you!

ATTENTION ALL NERDFIGHTERS!

The time has come to commence work on the biggest Nerdfighter project since the happy dance project: Project Evil Baby Orphanage! *trumpets sound*

Following John's record-breaking Question Tuesday, a group of five of us Nerdfighters collaborated in My Pants and decided that we needed to organize the Evil Baby Orphanage book project, or else it might never happen. We have made… Continue

Musecast

Musecast was (I think) the first collaborative B2.0-ish show ever. Five friends are chronicling a year in their lives as they start their careers in the entertainment world. I've been watching from the beginning, and it's great. Enjoy, and also check out this brilliant Muscast advertisement from… Continue

Nerdfighters - Could you sponsor me for the Supercities walk for MS ??

Hey Everyone!!

As some of you *may* know, my mom has Multiple Sclerosis... and I'm participating in the "Supercities Walk for MS" this year. My team and I are walking on April 13th, with my mom, who will be joining us in her new electric wheelchair.

I set my pledge goal really really high, and so far have only received two pledges. I wonder if there are nerdfighters out there that care to contribute to this cause? I'm not sure how to reach my goal!!

Also, I… Continue
