I hate ridiculous projects for school that have absolutely no real value to your learning. I have a psychology type class that this keeps happening for. The teacher is not a good teacher at all. Half of the classes she just talks about what her and her husband are doing on the weekend, or some experience they had. Things that don't relate at all to the information we are *ahem* 'learning'. Either that or she's talking about her friends and how they felt after they had babies and how big their… Continue

Spring. Flowers bloom. Easter is celebrated. Senioritis kicks in. And most importantly, kites are flown.
Recently I bought a Yo Gabba Gabba kite. I will admit, I am a fan of the show. It's like crack for my brain. The pure abursdness (if that's not a word, then I just made it up) intrigues me. So naturally, my pre-hoarder desires made me buy this kite for $3…
i cant decide if today is a good day or a bad day today....

As I was cruising the "Faculty" section of EMU's library, I stumbled across a book entitled "The Iliad or The Poem of Force: A Critical Edition" (Trans. James P. Holoka). It's a bilingual edition of a book by French literary theorist Simone Weil, which outlines her view of Homer's epic poem not as a story of rage, loss, warfare, or even suffering, but a tale about the nature of force, and how it transfixes both its victim and wielder into non-human… Continue

While for months after it started, I was on here all the time, my interest in it waned and soon ceased altogether. I got more into interacting with my fellow Nerdfighters through YouTube itself, or through sites and services like BlogTV or Skype. The Ning was just yet another profile to maintain, and I was bad at maintaining it. I'm even worse at maintaining it now.
Occasionally, I get reminders that the Ning is not as dead as… Continue
My favourite scientist is Michio Kaku because he does all these shows about physics that can be understood by anyone, and also the books. There are others i like , and i gathered some videos of them at my site : http://www.saftacatalin.info, if you would like to check them out.
But i just want to know who are your favourites? And why? (could be their implications in science or physics, their groundbreaking work, or just their eys…
In which John Green, wearing an actual replica of the hat worn by fictional character Holden Caulfield, discusses quotations, and the decontextualizing of a quote from his novel "An Abundance of Katherines." Also there is a brief discussion of fishing boat proceeds. And frenching the… Continue
Writing the beginnings of stories is my favorite part of writing stories, which is why I've never finished one. So don't expect this one to go anywhere, but I figured I'd share
He hated it, running down the side of his head and across his jaw bone. By all accounts, it was an awesome scar. The kind of scar that could earn a guy a reputation for the rest of his life. A wall to hide behind, the basis of excellent personal image, a well for future… Continue

So here's the deal: for a while now I've wanted to start blogging, but just never really did it. I would sign on to my blogger account, start filling out some profile information, but then I would chicken out and end up not saving anything, and then about a month ago I deleted it. Now I know what you're thinking -- and there is no really rational reason why I should be afraid of blogging, it just happens.…
Alright, I'm trying to 'make a dent' in interwebs history, but have no idea how or where to start. I know from much surfing that most things that become online sensations are very random, and most the time have to be funny. I would like to start a vlog, but I have absolutely NO Idea where to start! Helps meh!!!

Guess what guys...
So a while ago I applied for this school here because it's the only one with a Cosmetology program. I hadn't heard a thing from them for quite some time... So while my friends were talking about how they got accepted into their magnent schools, I become increasingly sure I hadn't been chosen. This would mean all my plans would come crashing down and, due to many circumstances, my dreams would be put farther off.
I wanted to go to be a hair stylist, that way I can… Continue
