Regarding a contest. Also, top hats.
Well hello there, internet dwellers.
I am participating in a contest that will let me win a splendiferous top hat and I would appreciate your help in winning it :) I need to get as many favourites as possible. I figured that nobody would appreciate my top hat design as much as you wonderful, nerdfightery people :)

aha!
No fatal illnesses as of yet, but I've fallen in love with Supernatural! I wish I'd known it was so amazing when it first came out.... :sigh:
I saw the Hunger Games last night, it was amazing! As a movie to film adaptation, I was very impressed...it was much better handled than the Potter films were (though, of course, the Potter books are surpassed by nothing), and I give it a rating of 5/5. :)
What did you think?

So I am a costume designer at this theater in Carlsbad California called New Village Arts and we are just about to open our totally awesome, creepy, and a little funny production of 'Buried Child' by Sam Shepard. Which you should totally come see because theater is awesome and also this show full of amazing though provoking ideas and thoughts about identity, family, and mental illness. So if you are in the area please come see it. I'll link you to the face book page with a lot of…

Oh, okay, hold on.
Possibly this is where my obligatory "I'm new" post should have been written. Already I feel like I have made a faux pas. I'm far more used to Tumblr, where all the text posts go in the same place regardless of length or content or status as a proper blog entry as opposed to a passing comment.
Watch this space. I will get better.
(Also, I just previewed this post and it says that it's 11:38 AM. It's 6:38 PM where I am, but okay.)

Tomorrow is my 13th birthday, and it's going to be RUBBISH.
I had been planing a big party with all my friends and all of us just having a good time, but my two BFFs have a stupid musical(they have incredebly minor parts, it wouldn't matter if they weren't there), only three people can come to my party and only one can come and see The Hunger Games with me!
I just don't get it!
Nothing goes right for me, and I'm not bad, yet God can't let me have this ONE…

Today, I decided to go on an adventure, out into the great not paper town of Nashua NH. my original goal to pick up my paycheck, and get a Hard drive for my 360. However! my journey took my well walk soles to the pheasant lane mall. after achieveing my main goal i decided to wander untill the bus came along to kart me to my next destoination.
In target, i found myself wandering toward the books section, perchance to find TFiOS. and as fortune would have it, there was a pair…

Confused..
A friend of mine was just diagnosed with cancer. Since hearing of the news I've been really confused about how I feel. (I met her 3 years ago online, she lives in Florida and we've never met, we don't even really talk that much, but we'll send each other random messages on fb or comment on statuses and stuff like that). I'm sad and very concerned for her, but at the same time it just doesn't seem like it has hit me like it should have. Should I be more sad? less sad? What do I say to her?…

I need help!!!!
Sometimes I worry about my friends. I have 2 sets of friends one set are people i've known since kindergarden who hangout with and eat lunch with everyday...but sometimes I feel like they don't really want me their the tend to kind of exclude me from conversations and don't really talk to me much. The other set I only met this year and they're all AWSOME! They run up and hug me every time they see me and always invite me to hang out with them I really want to but my old friends are always…

Reflecting on the Paper Towns
i just finished reading John's fantastic novel Paper Towns, a story about a Walt Whitman poem. and now im gonna spew my thoughts onto this page to get them out of my head.
there will be spoilers so don't come crying to me
firstly, the book was fan-freaking-tastic. i haven't read very much in the past 6 years, but i have a strong feeling that books like these will drive me to do so in the future.
I found myself immediately feel drawn into Quentin, i…

First post
Today, my band teacher was out sick so he left a note for the sub (who had no idea what he was doing) explaining what to do. On the note he said to have one of two student conduct the band, i was one of them. When i found out i thought, "YESS! Now's my chance to experience my dream of being a music/band teacher/conductor!!!"
However,…

My life, my love, and what I've learned
So, growing up is pretty complicated. I can't really stress that enough, and maybe some people out there that are possibly even older than me that really wouldn't relate. But I can say that I've grown up fast. And not in the way that you picture a 17 year old to be grown up, but I mean my life, my state of mind, and the ideas of the path I want to take have matured to the point that I see a lot of nearly 30 year olds struggling to get to. And it hasn't been easy.
I started…
