My name is Caite and I am a writer.
Now, I'm not a published author, not by any means....wellllll I'm published on FanFiction and Tumblr. I just wanted to say hello.
I am an avid reader of John's books and I must say he is brilliant (I'm not sucking up mind you). One quote stuck out to me.
"I go to seek a Great Perhaps."
This has got to be one of my favorite quotes from this book.…Continue

Mortimer Shea sat in his study on that rainy afternoon, the smoke from his pipe curling up and filling the room with it's sweet smell. He watched the drops of water collect on the leaves of a flower sitting in the box outside. he looked thoughtfully at the flower and made a mental note to ask Miss Delia what kind of flower it was. It reminded him of his childhood in Barbados, such lovely flowers there, he recalled. There was a knock on the door and he turned to watch as a bright,…Continue

Warning: Here's my incredible insecure post that I don't even believe truly belongs here but I'm just trying out to get a feel of this all and the response towards this. Be real, but don't rip me a new hole. I only want my ears pierced once each. And here. we. go.
"I thought you didn't like labels."
Lady, who are you to tell me what I like. "I think I changed my mind."
I used to not label myself. Well, I used to not do a lot of things. I used to promote family and…Continue
Almost every time I watch a John video he makes me think hard about my life, where I'm headed and what the heck I'm supposed to do. He words things so beautifully, yet so personably (is that a word? Chrome says no, so I'll tell you what I mean: he weaves words together like kimono makers create beautiful designs of trees and birds that look insanely real, but the sentences sound like they're coming from a person who wants everyone to understand what they're trying to say just like the kimono…Continue
Hi, I'm Oscar. I'm 13 years old. My first blog post is going to be myself trying to justify to you why I think I would make a good Nerdfighter.
I love to learn, and I can remember things quite well. I'm teaching myself Spanish and Italian online, and I'm really into video games, specifically old ones that just seem more nerdy. For example, I like to play Tetris and Space Invaders, but I also like to play Super Mario 64 and the Sly Raccoon games. Although I think that Super…Continue

I realized as I was looking through my blogs that I never posted my final thoughts on my classes for last semester. So, I'm doing it now. First, my original opinion, and then what I think of it now.
"Performance Studies: This class seems fun. We have already talked about performing and acting and the differences between the two and I think it will be enjoyable. Not too happy about performing in front of the class by myself, but other than that, I think I will enjoy this…Continue
So there is a Nerdfighter trying to do some awesome right now!She made a video for ALS. If you don't know what that is, it is explained in the video. Basically she needs your help to raise money for ALS patients. What she wanted to do was get 100 subscribers by January 19th, 2012 [her birthday] and ask that everyone of those 100 subscribers to donate two U.S. dollars to the cure for ALS. Giving it a total of 200 U.S. dollars [and the 100 she'll be contributing making it a new total of 300].…Continue

Recently I've been thinking a lot about what I will do when I graduate from college next year.
I don't want to be trapped in my home town like my parents are. They haven't been many places and I don't think they ever will. I want to see the world. I want to visit historical places (Chernobyl has been at the top of my list all quarter because of my Atomic Cinema class) and I want to be able to show my children (if I decide to have them) pictures of myself at the places I…Continue
Play RPs weekly
Go out to bars dressed as a steampunk
Started a club for people who go out dressed like steampunks
Head of the Calgary Muggle Quiddich association
Volunteer at museums
Have run out of bookshelves, am kicking out roommate to make space for more bookshelves.
I had a blog on a different website, and I used to leave three periods after the title [like above], to show a continuation. I think that's what I'll do here as well.
The reason for this blog post is quite simple, I have a new favorite song. Its not what most people who 'know' me would think I would listen to. Not for stupid reasons,…Continue

I am writing a book! (spoilers will be made here!) However, my plot is at a bit of an impasse because I cannot decide if my female lead will a) get over here obsession with saving water and live happily ever after or b) succumb to her hysteria disorder and end up killing my main character and/or herself and/or all the people that live with them on their post apocalyptic farm.
Basic plot: there's this guy that lives on Whidbey Island after a government or terrorist…Continue
