okay sooo to start out... i am like addicted to fonts. i have more fonts than i know what to do with after stealing them from the computers at school and just randomly searching for cool ones. Sometimes i go on what i call "Font Rampages" where i just get all the cool ones i can find... but then sometimes i search (a lot of times in vain) for a specific one... like the one on the cover of twilight or the one on the main menu for master an commander (both of which i finally found... the first… Continue

I've loved Brotherhood 2.0 for a while now, but I've never taken the time to get a nerdfighter page on here. But now I have and here I am. So I guess you could use a quick introduction to me. My name's Katie, I'm fifteen years old, and now I'm an official nerdfighter. Oh, and I don't think I'm going to get much sleep tonight for two reasons. One, because I'm having too much fun on the internet (I know, sad, I have like no life). And two, because I had, like, six cups of tea at eight o'clock… Continue

There is a contest on one of my favorite time-wasting websites, overthinkingit.com
, and I made these as entries. They're already in the discussion THE DARK KNIGHT
, but they seem to be successful, so I'll post them here.

Hello there! My name is Shawne, and today is my first day as an official Nerdfighter. Huzzah! Alrighty, well I suppose I'll tell you a little bit about me. I'm 16, I live in Louisiana, I love the color purple, and I adore my nerdy friends. I'm not planning to sleep much tonight; I'm trying to catch up on some reading. Tomorrow night is a pretty huge deal (BREAKING DAWN)! So yeah, I'll catch you later!

The Best thing ever for helping create a realistic character, pick a few and already you've for a real person.
when i'm mean to you, it isn't because i'm taking out anger on you. it isn't because i'm just messing with you. when i'm mean to you, it's the only time you ever see me honest.
your signals aren't mixed at all, i'm purposefully reading them wrong.
I know you have feelings for me stronger than friendship, and I'm too selfish… Continue

I don't know why I haven't mentioned this before, but I totally forgot about it. A few months ago, just after I read 'An Abunance of Katherines' in an all-in-one reading session, I decided to paint the cover.
Not in a vandalism way. In a recreation way.
It's not amazing, I need to get around to neatening (neatening? I'll go with it.) it round the edges.
I only realised it today after my friend Sam convinced me to post pictures… Continue

It has been a long time since I came to my page. Things have changed a bit since the last time I was here. In my life I mean. I am pleased to announce that at this very moment I am growing a beautiful nit (nerdfighter in training). I will have a baby girl in November, sometime around Thanksgiving. Her name will be Ella Jane and I am very excited to meet her. I would also like to ask any nerdfighter mothers if they have any useful advice that they would be willing to give. This baby is my first… Continue

Blaaaaaaaaargh, I get to go back to work tomorrow. Not a bad thing, I love my job, but I have to get up at seven. NOT COOL, MAN.
Just for the record, I work through an organization to help a little girl in a wheelchair become independent. Which is cool. Thing is... she doesn't usually wake up until at LEAST ten-thirty. So until she does, I am free to do whatever. =3 So, while the hours might not be the most fun, the fringe benefits are kind of awesome.
Also I had a… Continue

Very, very short photo blog. Ummm...this is a picture of the Gibson Guitar Workshop. Most people that live in Nashville play guitar, sing or do something musical. So, yeah... :)

This piece is called Bound. It was painted with acrylic and was one of the first paintings that I put up when I started hanging my own work.
It is called Bound because of the lack of gender of the subject. If you look at the piece, you’ll see there are no signs of sex. It is just a body.
About a year or… Continue

*I actually don't know if that's how it's spelled, but whatever.
I flew out to Walla Walla over the weekend to accept the job at Greenpark as a Para Educator in the Lifeskills classroom. I'll spare the minute details of the trip itself, but I will say a few important things. First, the job itself is going to be wonderful. After the meeting that made everything official (with the principal and the two teachers I'll be working with, Kathy and Barb, a newcomer), I had lunch with… Continue

I've had it with our downstairs neighbors. I have yet to figure out exactly how many people actually live in that two bedroom apartment, but I lost count at 5 (2 female "adults" and 3 obnoxious children). Plus one cat and one puppy. The cat and the puppy I don't mind. It's the idiots who can't seem to have a conversation without yelling and slamming doors I have a problem with.
Yesterday was the worst. They were entertaining a pack of pre-teen to late teen thugs and thought it would… Continue

Will this work better as a blog entry?
Hey, nerdfighters! I just announced a new collaborative project on the Musecast, and I need your help! I'm looking for fake definitions for words.
For now, it's a secret as to just how the definitions will be used, but check out this week's Travis Tuesday for instructions and suggestions on how to make up fake definitions.
Thanks, and have fun!!
