I did NaNo last year, and I cannot believe I'm going to torture myself again this year.
I blame John Green.
I was gonna give myself a break this year, chill out, focus on school and work and friends. I can remember the frustration, the horror and hatred I felt towards my novel during November last year. I vividly recall adding about 1,000 words to my novel about how much I hated my novel (it still counts!). Despite college, work, Thanksgiving, and life in general, I am,… Continue

Okay guys, today is Halloween. For those of you who will be going out trick or treating or to parties be safe and don't forget to post pics, blogs, and discussion on the festivities you've joined in on!
In which Emily contradicts herself, reads The Raven to her cat, goes to perhaps the scariest (and certainly the best valued) haunted hayride / haunted house (in the… Continue

In the spirit of Halloween, I bring you a cover of my favourite song from my favourite movie - The Nightmare Before Christmas!
FREE MP3:
The audio file sounds a little hissy on some speakers and headphones - this is mainly due to the sheer number of vocal tracks I created whilst doing the many characters. So sorry if it sounds a little bad: hopefully the awesome still shines through =P
To get you MP3:

Recently as part of a 680 Billion Dollar National Defense Authorization Bill, President Obama recently signed into law an extension to already existing Federal Hate Crimes Laws to include sexual orientation and gender identity in the definition of Hate Crimes.
Given this occasion I thought it was a good time to take a look at hate crimes in the United States. There's a lot of misinformation out there about Hate Crimes. People insinuate that the laws exist only to protect certain… Continue

Well, yesterday we got our cat back from the vet with anaemia. We thought he'd get better from antibiotics, but have just found out today that his anaemia was actually caused by having lyphoma. The cancer's spread and he's going to die within the week. The good news in a really selfish way is that there wasn't really anything any of us could have done to prevent it.
So, anyway, in order to make this blog post a little less sucky and little more awesome, here are the good… Continue

And I totally agree with Margo about the random Capitalization thing. The rules of capitalizing Are unfair To the words In the Middle.

First, I don't really watch any news network anymore. I get most of my news from the Internet. If I had to watch one, I might as well watch Fox, because I am tend to be conservative. I have heard a lot of criticisms of them, some of which are probably right and some of which are probably wrong. This isn't meant to be a defense of them, however.
I was interested in writing an article on this, but somebody else beat me to it. He handles it pretty well though:… Continue
So, I know you guys are so fetched that I'm blogging again (and that I lost the game...hee..hee), but I doubt my blog will last too long. Why...I have no idea whatsoever!!!!!!!!!!!!! I guess you guys should know that I'm writing this from Chatanooga, Tennesse at my aunts house, and we are going to a Ben and Jerry's parlor today!!!!!!!!!!YAY!!!!!!!!!!! Oh, and you should know that if I was talking instead of writing I'd be talking really fast and you'd probally not be able to understand what I'm… Continue
Hello again Nerdfighters, you guessed it, its another book Friday. Today we're going to talk about eBook's and Kindle's and Twitter book's? Yup... that's right, there's going to be a Twitter book.
Well, kinda. No one is writing a book on Twitter, sorry to get your hopes up like that and then destroy them so suddenly. But a book is going to be Tweeted over the course of three days! This project is going to be done by Rick Moody, the article doesn't say to much about him aside from the… Continue
Graduating from college gave me time to finish the novel I started so many years ago. Okay, so don't think I'm that slow of a writer that it took me that long... I actually had to restart a few months ago. But it is finished! Almost.
Current stats: 53,138 words. 282 pages. 5 chapters broken into sub-chapters.
Now it enters my initial editing stage. I sent a copy to a friend to read so he can tell me if there are any weird plot difficulties or confusing parts. I am reading… Continue
As my grandmother gets older and older, our visits are more and more frequent. Every year we take the 15 hour drive to Montana to see her. It's only 15 hours when it's just my dad and I. My mom stops every thirty minutes and likes to look at all the little things at the gas stations. Sometimes, I shake off the monotony of it by playing the "Let's Look for Hank" game. This means that I assume that Hank is in every gas station/ food-selling establishment we stop at. It really does make Montana… Continue
Here at HuffPost Green we love a party... and Halloween is definitely a fun holiday. But as the tradition becomes increasingly consumer-oriented, we think its in the running for the most wasteful holiday. While Christmas always gets ragged on for its consumerism, hopefully most of the gifts that are given are used more than once. Even if Halloween spending is down this year, Americans are still spending millions of dollars on mostly unsustainable, single-use and non-biodegradable products and… Continue

What makes more sense, burning virgin vegetable oil in car engines, or burning it in power stations? The answer is neither. In both cases you are snatching food… Continue
In celebration of Halloween on Saturday, I decided to go for something really creepy in my last vlog before November. I thought, "What's the best spooky short story I know that not many other people know that they should know and check out because it's awesome?"
Well, behold!
Despite the fact that I look like a harmless 12-year-old, I'm actually a harmless 22-year-old who's obsessed with scary stuff. I want to live in Disney's… Continue
Some guy many hundreds of years ago once asked whats in a name, I have been thinking about this a bit lately moslty because I may be having an issue with my name, It is the most boring generic name you could think of this name is Amy louise see I can already see you rolling your eyes.
