Did you see the incredibly beautiful sunset tonight? Glowing red in the clouds with contrails looking like tic-tac-toe boards across the sky.

have been made of complete AWESOME. The scavenger hunt was amazing... and resulted in a message that made me do my happy dance at 3:30 in the morning... and the new website is up, which, again, is pure awesome. 2008 is looking.... very promising... Nerdfighteria lives on! And on an off-topic note... National Treasure: Book of Secrets was really good IMHO, even though critics hated it. Maybe I'm just way too optimistic and positive? Maybe this will help... "I'm going to kill you with a car bomb… Continue

i'm considering keeping a blog here.
it's nice here. it suits me.
besides, i think people on my regular blog get annoyed with nerdfightering on my part. conversations with those people about hank and john usually go like this:
me: so the other day, hank wrote this awesome song...
them: god, are you talking about them AGAIN?…

I wander here, lost, in this land of snow
heart alight with dancing fire
contemplating what will transpire
lips aquiver and full of woe
caused by the incessant need to know
my sight catches that rosy cheek
seeking that something which many seek
blindly led by heart's deepest desire
As snowflake falls upon that face
yearning to caress that wonderful sight
possessed by need for that warm embrace
i sit here waiting, in darkest hour of… Continue

Staring into this magnificent moon,
on this cold, dark, listless night.
The ceaseless increasing beating of the heart,
As eyes gaze upon that distant beauty.
The unending stream of thoughts
overloading the mind in this time so lonely.
I'll wait for you forever, no matter how lonely
I may be. I look into the sky and see the brilliance of the moon,
as i lay here with tired eyes and thoughts
of our next encounter. It takes me deep into the… Continue

It is New Year's Eve, and while that doesn't mean as much to me
personally as the winter solstice, it is, culturally, a time of
Renaissance. The year shall be reborn—has, indeed, already been reborn
in places—and, like eager phoenixes, we hope that we too shall rise
from our ashes. As we toast, and revel, and fill the sky with man-made
starlight, are we not hoping, all of us, for change? Not simply that
2008 will be a better year than 2007, but that the world of… Continue

This is largely inspired by John Green’s childhood story about the elf in the buttonhole. And I couldn’t get that stupid elf out of my head. I thought about writing a story and then I got your newsletter so I got a better idea.… Continue

I think I'll add some of my music up on this site (100 mp3's) so please let me know what you think of it!

Well, it's the end of one good thing (I think we all know what that is) but the start of something promising and hopefully really fun (this site!). I'm looking forward to meeting other nerdfighters from around the world, telling people a little bit about my life and thoughts. I'm also looking forward to seeing what the Brothers Green have in store for us in 2008! Whatever it is, I'm sure it will be made of awesome.

We have all come a long way in one year. Some of us, myself included, didn't know they were Nerdfighters until Hank's song Accio Deathly Hallows hit the front page of YouTube way back in July. After backtracking through the video archives and sequentially suffering withdraws when it came time to wait a full 24 hours until the next video (even worse were the weekends), we finally folded into My Pants and understood the jokes inside jokes. Even though we spent only… Continue

Welcome, 2008! Still no flying cars.
As each year ends, another begins. And at the close of 2007, WorldSuck levels have risen and fallen, people have made new friends and new enemies, and now only months are left before the voting population of the United States elects a new President.
But all of these events are nothing in comparison of the biggest WorldSuck climb of alltime: the end of Brotherhood 2.0
It was an excellent campaign/project. I have to thank Hank and John… Continue

Nerdfighting has reached a new level now that Brotherhood 2.0 has ended. But whereas Hank and John will no longer be posting videos every day, they still remain the greatest nerdfighters of all time...in our hearts.
The new website that we have now is very jokes. I like it a lot. Now, instead of having to go to Brotherhood2.com, we have our own nerdfighting website!! WorldSuck has definitely decreased.
I accept all friend requests.

I feel old... I am 42 (yes, the answer), soon to be 43 (no longer the answer.. ) and I am feeling old about it. Granted, I am not THAT old - and I do hope to get older (it is better than the alternative), but I am feeling it today.
It might have to do with signing up here and feeling like the oldest living nerdfigher. I knew many o' nerdfighters were young, but I am surprised to learn that I am apparently the oldest one around - viewing the pictures of nerdfighters, I was feeling… Continue

I started watching Brotherhood in either August or September after a friendly tip from my friend Katie. In one weekend, I watched jan-aug, so I haven't been here since the beginning or anything and I never saw the Harry Potter vid on youtube like a lot of people did.
Tomorrow starts a new year, but it doesn't feel like it. The new semester doesn't even start for a few weeks and my brain is on the school year schedule. I'm excited for the future, for auditions, for choir and Wizard of… Continue

I have decided that my 2008 New Year's Resolution will be very similar to John's Green Green Manifesto. It is high time my family starts living according to our values. Starting tomorrow, there are some new guidelines in effect. It would be great if some Nerdfighters had some suggestions for our Manifesto. So far this is what we have:
1. Take reusable bags with us to the grocery store. Continue
2. Recycle everything that can be recycled.
3. Use florescent…

Well my Fellow nerdfighter's....I just watched the final B20 video and it made me sad to see that it's over. I think I was just as shocked as John and Hank were, when I realized how much their project effected me, themself's and all the other people that tuned in.
I love watching the first video and thinking "They had no idea how big this would get" but my friends, It's just beginning! It might be the end of of B20 as we know it, but I am sooooooo stoked for this next year, And with… Continue
