My dog loves my next door neighbor... I mean loves him, she keeps watch out of the office, spare bedroom, and living room windows to see if he is out there. When we go into the backyard she will run over to the fence to see if he is out back too.
At first I thought that she was just looking to see if there was anyone else out there. I can tell when she finds someone out side because she will growl very low and wag her tail. When my next door neighbor is outside though she makes no…Continue

So recently there has been a quasi-meme going through Facebook (and I'm pleased to report, G+. Don't hate me Youtubers, I love G+ and I'm not ashamed) wherein the postulate that it's better to buy a book/several books for the object of your affections at a book store rather than buying a beer/martini/daqueri/shirley temple for said objects of affection.
This comes with a promise by another poster to share this until it is common practice.

I am gluten free, and I have been for a little over four years now. It is a never-ending struggle to stay on my diet, but luckily I also love to cook. I also love to share my recipes. Which is what I hope to do with a blogging series called Gluten Free Foodie. These may not be posts that I make all the time, but hopefully I can make them often enough to be of interest.
I will start with a recipe I made just yesterday.

As always, along with the holiday's comes the eating, the laughter, the family, the drama, the food...mmmm...pie, the dysfunction, the traveling, the weather delays, and of course, a time of reflection.
However people decide to reflect I believe it is important for all humans to take time to internalize, compartmentalize, and understand the world around them as well as their own personal internal world.
As I was sitting at my desk today listening to students…Continue

Hello everyone who happens to stumble across this post and decide to read it,
My name is Laura, I'm 17 and I live in Australia, none of that seems particularly relevant but I thought I'd tell you a little about me first.
So, I guess the first thing we have to cover here is what do we consider compassion to be? For me, compassion is simply the ability to care about someone that isn't you. Extremely compassionate people can care about those who they've never met, and empathetic…Continue
